Nice start for the Leafs as they ground out the Flyers 5-3 in a game that saw them totally outplyed in the second period.
if Mogilny, who is at his career best right now,can keep that intensity he showed last night and carry it through
to June, mvp for sure--he was friggin AWESOME
Eddie made some clutch saves and Mats looked interested
Some dumb penalties but they shut em down and even scored short handed
The 2nd period lapse is a aconcern--but these are the leafs-we expect them to not make it easy for us fans--

This series will be decided by one simple factor. One of them went out and got the goalie they needed in the off season and one didn't. Belfour at this stage of his career is a good but not great goalie but at least he has a playoff resume and a ring. Has there been a more disappointing team in NHL playoffs the last decade than the Flyers who are seemingly the odds on fave in the Eastern conference every season only to bow out in playoffs and leaving Bobby Clarke mystified as to what happened AGAIN. Get a friggin' goalie! DUH !
