I see that Stan Sharp is on a cold streak. Just an FYI for people who buy his picks. Stan Sharp doesn't even exist. I know someone who worked at Pregame a couple of years back and he told me that Sharp is a fictional capper created by Pregame to suck more money out of people. I suppose it doesn't matter if the guy wins but I just hate the dishonesty. Pregame claims they aren't touts and then they have people like Vegas Runner making up stories that Stan Sharp is some Vegas big shot when he isn't even a real person. Then Pregame markets him by saying:

"Stan based in Las Vegas makes his living solely from Betting on Sports his Winning is geared by playing just One Game a Day the absolute Best Bet he finds on the Card."

Then there is a blog post by "Stan" that states:

"The following article is from Stan Sharp as told to (and posted by) a pregame.com staff writer. Stan is not willing to take time away from handicapping to write, but we convinced him to sit for an occassional interview that we'd convert into an article."

What a crock. I guess my information could be wrong but of all the handicappers listed at Pregame, Stan Sharp is the only one with a cartoon for his profile picture. Like I said, if he wins I guess it doesn't matter if he's real or not but it's still dishonest and shady on Pregame's part.

Maybe I'm naive, but I thought everyone knew this? Just like Budin doesn't have "crews," and just like John Ryan doesn't have an "Ai Simulator." It's all marketing b.s. Having said that, I still tail Sharp from time to time because most years he (whoever HE is) hits between 55-60% in hoops, and the record is monitored at The Sports Monitor. Now, if someone were to tell me that the record at TSM is bogus, that would be a completely different deal altogether.

what if you worked at a book and knew who the best selective sharps were and dreaded when they fired in on a play.
wouldnt it be best to take those groups and market them?
you can't deny the guys record and history in the business.
If i were a bookie and knew who the better gamblers were, i'd either lay their action off or bet it myself.

I also noticed that when he does his writeup, it's always in the 3rd person. Why? It always states "Stan notes that...." It's like somebody is writing for him. If he's the one that's capping, then why not write his own? :think2: Just my 2 cents.

you just had someone come on here and confirm hes not real. dont know what else to make of it. I've been doing this long enough to know that even if you flipped a coin once a day you can hit a streak.
That being said, no sharp loses 7 in a row without taking a day off. The guy has not done that.

i cant believe you would write all that. its been my experience that people vent on these forums when they are in the middle of a bad losing streak. sorry for your losses but why would you knock a guys whos on a 33-10 run? the guy has great write ups and he wins. We all know that.
Trust me, i never requested a 1$ pick. I may have asked if anybody had it but that would have been the extent of it.
Rickenbach is not my boy but the most cash i've ever won is by following whos best at what they are doing right now and he is definitely one of them along with Dean.

I was reading through this thread and I don't really know who Stan Sharp is. If he wins then I guess it's all good. The only thing I would say is if people are on that site talking like they know the guy and he is a ghost, that's a little too deceptive for me. Either way, there are enough great cappers at The RX who give out plays for free where I don't have to worry about Stan Sharp because I don't ever plan on buying his picks. :toast:
