Pimp,

I have got behind on my booking-up and not looked at the Titans fully. Can they stop the run, seems like the Secondary lost something over the Summer. Any chance of a quick appraisal, it would be much appreciated.:103631605

Winbet!!!! dont even look for the Titans defense to stop anything at all!!!!!! Our defense sucks major ass!!!! And this coming from a hardcore titans fan!!!!

Our major problem is that we dont have any corner backs at all!!!!

I will tell you this, our defensive line is very good and is right there with the best of them...Line backers are also OK...but the corners are f@cking terrible!!!!

Our defense tends to have deadly brain farts every now and then against a good running game!!!!!

Only thing i am hanging my hat on is our offense!!!! Ok i am a biased fan, but i am of the strong opinion that Mcnair will compete for touch down passes with Peyton mannining this year...(all our QBs have been sacked about 3 or 4 times the entire preseason having made well over 126 passes. This includes rookies and QB's we even cut.) that should tell you just about how potent offense should be...Any pro gambler will tell you that the offensive line is the most important thing on any team that one considers before betting on any team!

All this being said....Remember that i am a titans fan and i am bound to be heavily biased..I rarely bet on or against my team because of this bias.

Week one however, i am taking the 7.5 points the steelers are giving us!!!!

I got to agree with red on the titans...

he nailed our defense as it is and will probably be that way unlless we get some serious better play out of the corners..

Still feel we will score as "CHOW" didn't show but about 25 % of the package and if both running backs stay healthy only open up the pass gaame better,,

The Titans have one more serious problem that red didn't bring up but right now we have little to no one to catch a punt,,,,

With steelers injuries we might be catching them at right time..

good luck on your play,,,

Oh yeah!!!! I dont know how i could have forgotten to add that to the woes we have (that post was made in my hotel room around 4 am after a hard night out drinking)

Our number one draft pick Pacman Jones has been a huge headache ever since he arrived in town...He starts out by entertaining some friends who have a nasty selfish habit of smoking weed in public especially when around him!!! (he should find new friends who take money right out of his pockets and burn it while he watches)

Then he gets into a scuffle in a night club and charges start flying back and forth...He spends practically the whole pre-season sitting at home while we are bickering over his contract...(partially our fault because it seems like our front office was trying to take advantage of his legal troubles to pay him peanuts for his services....) Of course the b/s failed to work and the
corner/punt returner makes it into camp... I cant say i have seen much of him to say anything about his corner back skills!!!! But i have already spoken about this. (dont waste your time even evaluating our corner backs, just take my word for it!!!! THEY SUCK!!!! )

Pacman was also supposed to be our punt returner...I think i have seen him attempt to return about 4 punts only... 2 from last week, first one he fumbled and lost to the other team but play was called back and we they had to rekick..On ensuing return, he muffed the punt again but this time recovered.
The week before, he muffed 2 punts and managed to coral one for about a 15 yard return...Havent kept up with the team this past week due to NCAAF but i highly doubt he will have the job of punt returner...(Which might not be so bad...Perharps he can concentrate on corner back)

all in all. our special teams stink to high heaven....We dont even have a legitimate field goal kicker...This will mean that we shall probably attempt above average fourth down conversions...

So you can count on two things for the titans this year, we shall score at least 21 points per game when at full speed, and give up about an equal number on defense!!!!

Which means, when you see a total set at 40 points or less (better pound the over)

Ps...For you die hard in the numbers cappers, i am sure you will want to look back at the 49ers game this past pre season...(due to the fact that they play the 3-4 defense like the steelers who we face this week) Problem is that this game will be quite deceptive...Our offensive play book i think was pretty much written in its entirety on Norm chows hand ie...Run Ball, pass to TE, pass to RB, punt, go home!!!! Fisher is the consumate chess player when it comes to game planning...And yes with 3 weeks away from the first regular season game he is trying to hide everything he has from the Steelers! He did not want anything revealed to them they dont need to know...

Again, i must stress this...I am a huge Titans fan who is flooded pretty much daily with news of the things Norm chow is doing so much so one has to convince himself daily that things only look like this because our defense sucks ass so in practice sessions we look unstoppable.
So take everything i say with that in mind......I am a homer and i am not afraid to admit it!!!

Your wildcats have got to be the one team that has broken my heart more times than i can ever remember!!!! This weekend louville vs kentucky game was the first game i was able to watch in its entirety...That fumble on the one yard line was something i was kind of expecting as was every one in the room, but it was still heart breaking when it happened...

When will those cats ever get over that hump, i remember Lsu, i still remember that awful awful terrible heart breaking interception the round mound of touch down threw in the final seconds against florida a while back ( i was in a bar and i swear the bar tender wanted to cry!!!! he was from kentucky!)

Red,

Hate to talk college football here but to be blunt they will get over the hump once Uk gets off their dead butts and hire a real deal coach,, last one was "BEAR"..

only time i play Uk is in basketball and then i usually just play them as 2nd halfs bets,,,

big Titan fan here also and make all the games,,this could be a surprise season if some young players show out or it could be long longggggggggggggggg

I play some college games but if I post it will be in about 2 more weeks,, I like to watch first and get a feel of the teams,,

If you ever come by the old 5 story hotel off James Roberson we are right by the one pine tree in their parking area before the game,,, stop by and have a cold beer,,, I be the ugly one with gray beard

Old vat here

TRIBUNE-REVIEW
Wednesday, September 7, 2005

Steelers coach Bill Cowher ruled out running back Jerome Bettis (calf) for Sunday's season opener against the Tennessee Titans at Heinz Field. He also listed starting outside linebacker Joey Porter (knee) and running back Duce Staley (knee) as questionable, and cornerback Chidi Iwuoma (shoulder) and cornerback Bryant McFadden (knee) as probable. Cowher said Porter, who went through a full practice for the first time Monday since having cartilage removed Aug. 10, is further along than Staley, who would not start even if he dressed.

Second-year tailback Willie Parker will make his first career start against the Titans. He finished with 112 yards on 11 carries (10.2 per rush) in three preseason games. Cowher held him out of the finale last Thursday to keep him healthy for the opener. Parker ran for 102 yards in the regular-season final at Buffalo last season.
