SSI's NHL Plays for tuesday

will try and keep updated record for 2nd half of season. not trying to fool anyone, ive had some hits and misses the 1st half and am sitting around breakeven for the season, but i like the discussion thats developed here.

LA Kings +1/2 (-1.20) laying $240 to win $200.

I may add something later, today has been tough, so many games and anxious to get back after the all-star break.

would have leaned to SJ, Tor, NJ all ML.. Leans to OTT, Bos, Col all laying the 1/2 goals but no plays on these. No opinions on Mont/Fla, Atl/Cal. Play on LA +1/2. Just jibbering, waiting on nets game to start.

nice to start 2nd half 1-0.. Rule #1. (for me) do not go against a hot team. LA is hot right now..

I am 4-1 on my own personal Plays buth NBA & NHL....

followed you & ted on a few...so far Kentucjy & NJ have cashed bringing me to 6-1....

I dont know why but I often have more faith in others plays then my own. It is for these reasons that I have started tracking in these threads in the RX...even if I am undisciplined in my own wagering I will be able to see what my record would be

savant, please dont take this the wrong way but i dont follow anyone else (at least 98% of time i dont). i do totals about 10% of time, so i dont follow tater and zap.. i read ted, B/G and your plays -- sorta out of internet friendship, -- i did follow smokeywins on that pro-bowl over the other night.. but thats a rare thing.. please dont take this as being cocky, ive capped games since 1986, so a long time before i ever found this forum. but there is nothing wrong with following a hot capper..

not at all, I dont take it the wrong way...

I do follow other cappers I see that are hot or proven, also down to earth with good reasoning...behind their plays. My strongest skills is finding value in a line...my abiltiy to cap a game the old fashion way based on position against position is weak. (Too busy with my real job)

So I tend to fall into a trap where I feel the knowledge of others is better than mine as I am using mathematics & intuition aswell as trends...but am weak at capping the fundamentals...

The purpose of me starting to post my thread in the NHL & now starting tonite in the NBA rooms is becauz, I want to see if I do well over the long haul with my own personal strongest plays...Myself, i will follow those who seem hot & I respect, aswell...

PS I wish I had read Smokey WINs for the Pro Bowl Total...it was the only side I missed as I got NHL under & Eeast aswell as AFC..

Savant - Posting plays and a record keeps me focused and seems to make me more accountable. I make it a habit to update my record after each night win or lose. So yes, my losing nights are bumped up for all to see as well.

As far as following other cappers, I do not do it either. However, I have a range of 1-3 units per wager. If a well-respected capper is on the same side as me, I may decide to make it a larger unit wager based PARTIALLY on that or keep it a smaller play if they oppose me.

I think my weakness is I love action....& in many ways I have faith in other's plays rather than my own...I need the NY ILANDERS to hang on to at least a Tie to prevent an 0-4 system Play...I was talking about it in my other thread about my local.
