Every match the Rapids have played on July 4 for the last 13 years has also been at home; Colorado have never played on the road on Independence Day.

Colorado will miss 3 of their best players today as strikers Cummings (Jamaica) and Casey (got late call up to join US team in Seattle after injury of Brian Ching) along with winger Colin Clark are away with US national team playing in the Gold Cup.
