YTD 61-54, +1.65 Units
Coming off of a 3-0 night last night. Only 3 games on the schedule tonight, however I have plays on two of them. Here goes....
Chicago Bulls +8 2 Units
Lost by a point with the Bulls team total a few games ago, but won with them last night as 4.5 point underdogs, when they won outright in Toronto. Going to play them once again tonight. Deng played great last night, returning to the starting lineup, scoring 16 and pulling down 14 rebounds. Hinrich played well off the bench, scoring in double figures. These two guys are huge keys to the Bulls' success. Now that they are healthy, I think the Bulls will start surprising some people. Hoping Gooden will give it a go tonight, but not counting on him. Cavs have been playing great all season, however their play on the road is not nearly as impressive as their play at home. While they are 19-0 at home, they stand 11-6 on the road. Both their offensive and defensive numbers slip a little bit on the road. Before their last game at Memphis, they put up two clunkers at Washington and at Miami. I think they will have a tough time tonight at Chicago, where the Bulls play solid basketball. I see a game a lot closer than most people think.
Phoenix/Denver Over 218.5 2 Units
This is a series that is usually played in the 220's. The last 10 head-to-head meetings have averaged 230 combined points. Total a little low here because no Melo. I think the Nuggets will still be able to score plenty against this Phoenix defense. Phoenix gives up over 102 ppg on the season. JR Smith will play tonight. No fine or suspension yet. Although Billups missed the morning shootaround, Coach Karl says he will go. Suns offense has been great lately, scoring 100+ in 14 of their past 15 games. J Rich has been a great addition for them. The pace should surely be there for this one. The last three meetings in Denver have resulted in the following scores; 126-120, 126-113, and 131-107. I see more of the same tonight.
Best of luck fellas!
