AFter getting this prop at 4/1 odds, they changed my bet. Here's the letter I got from them:

Your Sports InterAction Account ID:

There was an error when posting one of our specials at Sports Interaction. The special in question asked 'Will the US catch Osama bin Laden in 2003?', but instead of 'No - bin Laden is still at large in 2004' at 1/6 we had it at 4/1, while 'Yes - captured or killed in 2003 ' was at 1/6 instead of 4/1. In light of this unfortunate error we have had no choice but to adjust all bets placed on the unintended line to the correct line in accordance with our procedures as outlined in our rules section.

Please accept our sincere apologies for this error, and if you would like your bet to be void based on this new information we would be happy to do so and return the wagered funds to your Sports Interaction account. Simply email us here at support@sportsinteraction.com and we will oblige.

Our newly revamped section has had several categories added, and we are endeavoring to offer new specials daily across a range of options like politics, lottery, and entertainment. Again our sincere apologies for the error, and if you have any questions or queries regarding this or any other matter please email us and we will respond immediately.

Kind Regards,

Sports Interaction

I have taken up for SIA before, but this is unacceptable behavior. You're getting screwed.

As DickyW said, how can there be a good line and a bad line on that stuff, and why did they wait so long.

I placed the bet yesterday after someone posted it in the "other sports" forum. They subsequently took the prop down yesterday. Or was it 2 days ago... I don't know, but I have receipts for this wager. I got the email today. This is the same book that deleted my account last NFL season after I won a measly 500 bucks on a Texans game.

I've defended them as well but this is ridiculous. I don't know how you can decide what is a good or bad line on a prop like this when it clearly is a situation where a wide range of opinions exist on the issue itself.

What Texans game did you win money on that they erased your account?

Well, on further examination, SIA may have a case.

The price of basically the same prop at Tradesports is about 1/2 (-200). The price is Bid 30 / Ask 41 for a December 31/03 expiry for the "captured / neutralized" option. Assuming a price of 33 would make their price -200 on the roughly equivalent prop to what you bet on at SIA.

The price might be around the same but this kind of prop is too open to an opinionated stance. Some of us might feel one side is a longshot to happen while the next person might feel their is a great chance of that same event happening.

Not sure what it is about SIA but the shit seems to follow them around alot more then others. Halifax is right if other books have a similar price to their market they probably have just cause. Not sayinig it's right or wrong I'd probably eat the bet ajust the price and move on. Then again I'll never understand why books put up pre and post war props.

I opened an account there to place a bet on the Ravens Texans game. I took the Ravens -4, they won by 5 or something to that matter, when I tried to log back into my account on Monday it was "gone" They helped me "find" it again, but they "had no record of the wager" Uh-huh.

They changed a number on me as well last year. Not that one can complain though when we are trying to take advantage of their mistake. It clearly says that they reserve the right to this in their terms. SIA paid out a rather large sum to me last year, rather quickly so I can't really complain.
