sports on sat tv mlb package

when i lived in los angeles i bought the direc-tv mlb extra inning package and was only blacked when the games involved the dodgers or angeles. at that point i could probably pick up the local teams on fox sports west (angeles) or fox sports west two (dodgers) if not the games might be on the local over the air network like ktla or kcal. if it was not picked up by one of those networks i was out of luck as it would be blacked out on the mlb package. however every game offered on the package not involving la teams was available.

Since moving to hawaii i am blacked out (now with dish net) on the dodgers, angels, giants, padres, mariners, A's Diamonbacks and Rockies. Does anyone know why this is? Why is LA getting almost every game and Hawaii blacked out and i am paying the same price for the same package. i called dish net but they don't know and say it is up to mlb. Anyone?

hey hilo we have the same problem here in vegas i have the baseball package thru cox cable and no cal teams or az wtf right? its just run by freakin retards itwould take years 2 find one person 2 answer this ?

are the local sports books in vegas blacked out of some games or are the books able to pick up everything?

i think they have the same problem especially ( hey halifax did i spell that right)on saturdays when fox has the rights they dont get the east coast feed at 10 am

All games on the Fox Saturday afternoon games are blacked out on the MLB package. You get your local game only. Sunday night games (usually Rangers games) are blacked out too for ESPN.

The MLB Extra Innings TV package is controlled by MLB. It does not make sense that the Angel-NYY game in NY is blacked in Nevada because it is in "the local area". You would think if they want to get paid for showing games on TV they would show all the games. It does give an indication on why MLB is the worst run organization of all the major sports. The steroid issuse, all-star game ending in a tie. Payrolls for some teams at around 40 million, others near 200 million.
