eh,

I will need time to investigate this FIRSTHAND before being able to comment intelligently...

I did receive an email the other day warning me that Sportbet was in tyrouble, but when I asked for ONE specific example, the source of the email was NOT able to provide me with any...

Since I will be going to CR soon, I will check them out once again...

If anyone if being slow paid or no paid, this is your chance to help all of us learn what shape Sportbet is in...

I feel this is a much fairer way to assess a sports book before suggesting to gamblers that they are in trouble...

Drunk is usually right on the money.

I hope it's not true though.

Another day, another rumor.

Somebody sent me a link to SBR yesterday. They have UNFAMILIAR sources that we are in trouble.

Major Wager has rumors they have heard on "the street".

Ken got an anonymous email.

I will gladly answer any REAL PEOPLE who have had REAL PROBLEMS getting paid by us. We just improve our software, we are now offering 2-FER Tuesdays and FREE 1/2 pt Fridays, our bonuses are still some of the best in the industry, we are in the middle of football, and all of a sudden rumors fly that we are in trouble....so it goes, I guess.

I am a little surprised that I have to post here again, and say this, but I guess we will always have our bashers.

If ANYBODY wants to talk to me, please feel free to call me at 866-WAGER-SB, ext. 2007. You can also IM me at Aol IM : SPORTBETJAKE or send me an email to Jake@sportbet.com.

Thanks for the support, gents. Don't forget today is 2-FER TUESDAY...All basketball and football bets are 2 for the price of 1.

Jake

MC,

2-FER Tuesdays is just that. If you make 2 wagers, be it on football or basketball, BOTH wagers will be -105. That is over the phone or over the net. However, if you want one bet at -110 and the other at +100, you can do that, too (this option is only available over the phone, for the phone minimum). Basically, my friend, 2 bets but you only pay the juice for 1. Let me know if you need anything else!

Jake,

Could you comment on the following:

Is Sportbet seeking a buyer/investor

Are credit packages being moved or reorganized?

Have any employees/management been let go or are planning to be let go in the Sportbet family of books?

Thanks ...

Buzzsaw (not that it is any of your business..but),

In regards to us seeking an investor...NO. In regards to us seeking a buyer...NO. People have made offers to purchase our books continously for the past few years, as we are a very profitable company. That is all. We would be stupid not to listen...as that is all it is.

In regards to credit packages being moved...NO. In regards to credit packages being reorganized...NO. Your information is false.

In regards to us letting go of employees: We have made some internal changes, yes. So what? Posters offerred constructive criticism about our people's ability, so we made changes. Now we are being bashed for making those changes? Wasn't it you, Buzzsaw, who said we needed to make some changes for the better? Whereas some of the decisions were/are painful to make, we are a business, and certain decisions are necessary.

Thanks for showing concern about our companies, but fear not, we are not going anywhere.

Jake

Edited as D2Bets has a very valid pt.

This book has supposedly been in trouble before but I have heard they are profitable with a good square base (but also their share of wiseguys).

Jake, just a friendly suggestion: Posters are your customers...customers are always (well, usually) right. Therefore, posters don't "bitch" about your people's ability, they "criticize" or maybe even "complain", but not bitch. It's just not professional to refer to your customers as bitching when they are complaining about your people's ability.

But as for the people proclaiming your demise without any info to back it up...**** 'EM.

D2bets,

YOU ARE CORRECT SIR. I am normally better about that type of thing. Thank you.

In all fairness to SportBet, how many times are they supposed to sit back and allow people to HURT them by suggesting they are in trouble when time after time, SPORTBET proves to everyone they are OK?

I have admittedly been very hard on SPORTBET because of so many "RUMORS" that I hear, but I give them credit because SPORTBET continues to pay in in a timely manner and when given the opportunity for anyone to come into this thread and tell about a no pay or slow pay, there is NO ONE here????

It is best for Watchdog sites to not yell fire unless there is concrete proof that a sports book is in trouble...

Once again, this is way I do things and after having done them now for 8 years, I believe it is the BEST and the FAIREST way...

P.S.

I am much more concerned about little books such as MajorBetting for example. It's been a rough year in Football thus far. Their owner has been looking to borrow money and that is a FACT....

I normally wouldn't bring this to light but if MW can dish it out, they better be able to explain why they are so short on cash...

Maybe Russie Poo can loan Freddie some of the BHB money that will never be returned to them?
