Spent a week in Vegas, and here are some of my thoughts

First I know that the Summer months isn't the best time to go. But every Year I make sure one of my visits are made around the same time I could sign up for the LVH Supercontest.

There were some crowds, it was busy... But at the couple of Casinos that I visited, the Tables were half empty ..

at the mirage one night ( Wednesday ) I had to wait 40-45 mins before someone else came to the table. Yes I know it's the middle of the week.
But never had a problem like that before, even on a Monday night.

The Mirage has changed overall. They kind of got rid of the Asian Market. .... 5 Pai Gow poker tables, 1 Mini Bac table on the floor
in the High roller room, there were 3 Bac tables. and to really tell how they got rid of the Asian Market.... they took out the Noddle restaurant last year.
That's when I knew it was over....

been going here since Dec. 1989, might be a time for a change...

The bellagio has been MGM's Top tier Place for a while. I've stayed here before, but always felt the people there had their nose to far up in the air.
Great Restaurants ..... Tons of tables, and there was Action all over the place.
I think the place got better as far as the 'noses" and they do have Great Rooms as well. Just not happy with their Pool. But might give it a shot on my next Visit.

I've heard Aria is supposed to be their best place now. Haven't been to Vegas since 2006, I used to go three times a year, but since I moved to Reno, haven't had a reason to really get down there

I don't like that place at all. a few friends stayed there and they love it. But the rooms are smaller I think.... but they don't care because it's Newer.
Don't like the Pool there either.

I know I keep on saying I don't like the pools at other places. I Don't Gamble during the Day. and Love the Sun... so We hang out at the pool all day.
The Mirage Pool is probably the Best on the strip. MGM has a nice one too. ( which I just found out )

Problem with MGM is Huge.... But plenty of Action.... Great places to eat and good shows ( and Fights )

I haven't been to Vegas in 2+ years. I used to go once or twice a year. I'd love to get back, but the wife isn't a fan of the place. Gotta find an excuse to go on a guys trip I guess....

and of course at the Right Price Any place is for Sale....

But the Rumor started last week that it was a "DONE DEAL" was nowhere near Correct.

MGM won't sell it for cheaper than it's worth. and the Deal was never done.

He also told analysts The Mirage was "not on the market." Murren said he and Chief Financial Officer Dan D'Arrigo will often "meet with interested buyers" for the company's resorts, "as a fiduciary responsibility." LOL

"It's an outstanding property we covet and respect dearly," he said. "We don't put a 'for sale' sign on any property." LOL
