Does anyone take some throws in speed pitch at a local picnic/carnival? Seems like u have to stand back farther to get a full reading since the distance is so short but who the F knows.

I only threw 66 today and im pretty sure i can throw atleast 70 mph. Pisses me the F off.

My 1 buddy threw 48 or something, the 12 yr old kid b4 him threw 52. So naturally my eyes were watering since i was laughing so hard.

That's pretty damn good! It probably wasn't worth it for your shoulder's health. Man...those little 'stands' that have the clock on the throws sure bring out the red-faced, try hard, hurt self, ego laden part of every man!!! Just go observe sometime (don't get caught up in it) and see how damn intense every guy is like they are trying out for the Dodgers or something. I know...I've been one of those guys! I try to steer myself clear of those things now. tulsa

I still coach little league and got chance to time myself about a month ago and can still get it up in the mid 70's. Arm hurt for a day but believe alot of it was from throwing from of to home from centerfield teaching kids how to properly throw on plays at the plate and bases.

LOL, for sure.

It's a catch 22 tho. If you don't throw then u are like "damnit, i wish i threw" , "I wanted to see , how fast i can throw" Then if u go, you're sitting here like me and saying damnit i wish i threw harder, the gun must be broke.
