I have been looking at this game most of the day and wondering why it looks so easy. Because it looked too easy, I was only going to play it small, until I read this article from the Houston Press Newspaper. It's a long article but the guy who wrote it was thinking the same as I was. How can Houston with a backup QB be expected to beat the Ravens, who have the NFL's second best defense, SU even with the game at Houston. It opened with Houston favored by 2, when this article was written. Now the line has moved to a PICK, with the Ravens -1 at some places.

Read the article for all the reasons why Baltimore should win the game. If you don't feel like reading it, just ask yourself how can the Texans move the ball against the Ravens defense. Also, Samari Rolle the Ravens Pro Bowl CB, will play after missing the past six games.

PLAY BALTIMORE -1

NOTE: This game is a Write In game going at 1 PM Eastern Time. It's a make-up game from Hurricane Ike. And here is the link to the article.

jpr. I hear you and they could let down tomorrow but I don't think Houston is capable of doing much, even if the Ravens come out flat. Just look at what Houston has done so far this year. Their record is deceiving. They lost every game against teams with a winning record and the only games they won were against Cinc. and Detroit, two very bad teams and Miami, who is not as good as Baltimore.

It's very debatable as to who's better between Schaub and Rosenfels.

who have the NFL's second best defense
That's just categorically not true.

just ask yourself how can the Texans move the ball against the Ravens defense.
Um, through the air.....like everyone else.
Even Derek Anderson threw for 220 and 2 TD's

I'm not saying Balt can't win this game, but not for the reasons you gave, and either way won't be easy for them, especially on the road.
I personally like the Over. Flacco has been playing better, and with the weapons Rosenfels has, he's good for 2-3 TD's and a couple picks too.

Flacco can move the ball, big plus for the Ravens, plus the Ravens Defense is playing well. Texans have not played real high quality teams recently, Ravens will have to give the ball away all day to lose this game, I don't see it.

I Need Money. I copied this but it's what I feel. Baltimore is known for its tough defenses, and the 2008 Ravens are no exception. Baltimore is ranked No. 1 against the run (64.3 ypg), fourth against the pass (182.1 ypg) and second in total defense (246.4 ypg) this season. That unit could get stronger this Sunday if corner Samari Rolle can return from a neck/shoulder injury that has sidelined him for the last six weeks. He is listed as Probable and will make a big difference.

Your right that both Houston QB's are pretty equal. However, you did say I was wrong saying Baltimore has the second best defense. See where it says they are second in total defense giving up just 246 ypg. That was my source. Now I have to find a way of watching this game on TV. I'm hoping I can find it on the internet at Justin TV or Sopcast.

Falcon. That's a big point, who Houston has played lately. Two of their three wins were Detroit and Cinc.

I didn't say their numbers didn't have them pegged as #2, I said that they weren't the 2nd best defense in football.

I don't think many people would disagree with that.

Anyone looking for the game, I found a second feed on JustinTV that is a prefect picture from an HD source. Go to Justintv.com, then Sports, then American Football. Then this channel. mikej122's channel.

WINNER --- Plays Now 9-4

When I got up this morning and saw the line went up to Houston -2.5, I did think for a minute that I might have made a mistake, like some of the comments I read both here and in other threads. Then I remembered that Houston hasen't won against a team with a winning record this year, one of my reasons for this play.

I really didn't want to be reminded what a dumb play this was if Houston would have won, so I'm happy. These plays are looking better, now at 9-4.

Nice call man.
I don't think this would have been a stupid play either way. The Balt D did look great, and I bet the Texans can't wait for Schaub to get back.
The Over hit (not the exact way I thought), but hit none the less :)

Sage is good for a lot of yards and a lot of turnovers. Gonna be watching the Overs in their next few games.
