No one is...

May cost the AD his job and a lot of booster money when it's all said and done...

this has to be the worst hire of the decade. the AD must have his head up his rear to even think about hiring muschump after his disastrous tenure at fla. he has to be a relative.

They got a 'thing' for ex-Gators coaches down in S Caro? Kind of like some of those weird web sites one might find...

That's seems like a horrible hire. He's way too emotional on the sidelines, as evident by the outburst in the Bama/Auburn game. It sounds like Auburn was not going to have him back because of that outburst. Sounds like RR from Zona turned them down as well. Why not make a call to Chizik from UNC or Brohm from WKy or how about Ruffin McNeil who was just let go by ECU?

I'm amazed no one has hired Greg Schiano. If you can win big at Rutgers, you can win most anywhere.

From a Tennessee perspective, this worries me more than Smart at UGA. I think Muschamp is more successful there than Smart at UGA

I think South Carolina made a great choice with Will Muschamp. He's only 44 years old and has four years of experience of knowing what not to do as a head coach. Muschamp won't make the same mistakes he made at Florida by hiring another Charlie Weise as his offensive coordinator. That one hire set Florida back where the offense still hasn't recovered. South Carolina has a coach who knows the SEC and especially the SEC East...plus he's a damn good recruiter.

Five year contract worth $16 million. Three million the first year plus $100,000 raise each year after. He also gets a $2 million life insurance policy, two cars, membership in a country club and a suite at the stadium.

Arizona coach Rich Rodriguez was reportedly offered the job but turned it down. Others interviewed: Shawn Elliott (Interim coach), Lincoln Riley (Oklahoma OC), Willie Taggart (South Florida HC), Sonny Dykes (Cal HC) and Greg Schiano (former Rutgers HC).

I read last night that Rich Rod said he turned down Bama before they hired Saban. I highly, highly doubt we offered Rich Rod the job.

I can't remember if Alabama offered the job to Rodriguez but the school was 'certainly' interested in him. I think AD Mal Moore made
an offer but just not 100 percent sure.

You're correct. He was only interviewed, never offered.
