I would never ignore a trend, but there are THREE major aspects to handicapping. Trends only fit in to one category, I'd be careful about playing trends only (that's just me).
That being said, if you're playing a simple ATS system that says play on home dogs (especially MNF) by all means carry on. Systems should be long term, I'm not trying to "call you off" this game at all.....just offering an opinion on this particular game.
Just an FYI, historically on MNF if the fav wins they cover, if the dog wins they cover. So, another system would be lay the points when you like the fav, play the dog on the ML when you like the dog.
Of course, now that I've posted this the Rams with win as favs but not cover LOL.
