(Lynwood, CA) -- A 16-year-old boy shot dead on a porch in Lynwood has been identified. L.A. County Sheriff's Deputy Rick Pedroza says Raymond Frias was killed in an unprovoked gang killing while visiting a friend on Poplar Drive Thursday evening. He was sitting on the front porch when a gunman walked up and asked "where are you from?" Pedroza says when Frias failed to answer, he was shot once in the back and died a short time later. The suspect has only been described as a young male Hispanic.

Not society, just South Central. Some of these people are just animals with their territorial gang wars.

Birth Control.

Agreed. Short of government mandated chemical castration, China's policy of one-child would do well in many segments of our society.

Unfortunately, some elements of our society see another uncared for/unparented child as additional income. Until we (or the government) stop rewarding this type of behavior, count on "youth gone wild" to be a major theme in mutiple segments of this country (both rural and urban).

Lack of education and especially discipline in this country. A slap on the wrist seems about normally anymore unless you murder someone. Bring back chain gangs and mandatory death penalty in every state for more serious crimes.
