-170 on Texas in the CWS. It doesn't make much sense to lay more than -150 in the majors.

Once in a while I will run into what I refer to as "free money bets", usually in boxing. I have laid -700 or so on more than one occasion in the past. For the record laying heavy lumber is rare for me as a rule. With Baseball I hardly ever play favorites, I do know there are times when laying chalk has value though.

We place about a half dozen NHL games a month at -200 to -250 range, but it's unusual.

Bet a Euro soccer game last year at -500 and won 1-0 in like the 83rd minute...so may not do that again due to stomach trouble...heh

Laying 3300 to win 1000 on the Yankees in the early 80's when I was younger, didn't care! Now never over 160 unless its for under a nickel!

There are plenty of good soccer opportunities with big numbers. A lot of times in Cup qualifying and such one team will bring a full squad and need a win while the other team is eliminated and looking at all players under 25 to see who can contribute next go round. South American qualifying is great for this, they have only one round with all teams playing and the last 4 or 5 games come up with plenty of good opportunities.

There really isn't too big a number to lay in my opinion, it is just that gaining true value out of a game at -500 is really tough. My biggest loss was laying -580. Still I have good records and can say my record in any sport of laying -400 or higher is a stellar 23-2! I might be due for another loss, but that still puts me way ahead for these big lays.
