Listen to the Chad Millman podcast from Sept 10 here -
http://sports.espn.go.com/espnradio/podcast/archive?id=5395837

He interviews Ray Lesniak the NJ state senator sponsoring legalized sports betting.

In a nutshell:
1. Chris Christie has said the casinos will not be prosecuted by the state of NJ for operating sports books.
2. The leagues have asked for a 45 day grace period from the casinos before they start accepting bets.
3. Lesniak speculates the leagues will use the 45 days to negotiate a cut of the action for themselves.

After all the crap the leagues pull to prevent betting, now they're going to ask for a piece? If that's true, they should fuck themselves.
