So took one of my Cats to the Vet Yesterday ...... almost $1,000 later

Cat has been losing weight lately, thought maybe becoming a diabetic.
Drinking a lot of water, still eating fine, but losing weight.

So decided to take him to the Vet to see what's up... Do Blood work, urine, etc...

Just the Blood work cost almost $500

Finds an infection in one of his teeth, so gets a antibiotic ( 20 Pills for $53.10 )
Go online just to check info on the Meds, and see that I could have bought the same Pills, anywhere from .53 cents to .86 cents a Pill

Probably a couple of other health issues, which we are waiting on results

Bottom line, veterinarians are Fuking Crooks

My dog started coughing and it went on all night and into the morning. I went on line and saw something called kennel cough and got real worried. Took him to vet and had to pay for a physical and then the vet gave me some codeine cough syrul in a tiny little bottle. Gave some to the dog and it never coughed again so he really wasnt that sick. Cost me 250 bucks and the cough syrup was 57$. They tried to get me to buy an insurance plan for my two dogs at 50 bucks a month each. Total racket they have going

All Pets .. grew up with Dogs

Had a cat live to 21-22. Shit was crazy... my friends were putting wagers on what winter would be her last at like age 18. Pets are the best when they don't cost that much, but you never know... It is crazy when they are nearing the end, if you have other animals they will sense it. I have a 4 yr old dog who is an australlian shepherd/chocolate lab mix(Best breed I've ever had). She spent the last couple of days in the garage with my cat before she passed. Hope your cat is all good

A pill, twice daily... No other restrictions
He was not having that pill business so we had to get it compounded into a liquid
