So Long, and thanks for all the Fish

<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p> </o:p>

Just wanted to say goodbye and thanks to everyone. I am taking an “indeterminate” vacation from the gambling scene. I wish I could say it was permanent, but gambling is addictive and I have an addictive personality, so one never knows. That said, I do not envision returning any time soon.

<o:p> </o:p>

Final Accounting: Up $50,000

Initial stake 2.5 years age: $2,500 left to me by my grandfather

Things I’ll always remember:

· Winning $10,000 on the Skybook MNF contest last year (I actually fell asleep before halftime and didn’t realize I won)

· 2004 Presidential election (It was so much fun watching the odds change so quickly, I made a little, but nothing substantial)

· Learning to stand up for myself. After getting caught in the PTS fiasco, I sulked for a week and a half before dusting myself off and arranging 5 offers from various books (Olympic, Sirbet, Allworld, Gamblers Avenue, WorldCasinoSportsbets) and ended up not only getting back what I was scammed out of, but ended up making about $3,000. (thanks to Halifax and D2Bets for their guidance on scalping, middling, Bonus Plays, etc).

· Going to the 2004 RX Bash courtesy of wining a BHB contest (wrote commercial)

<o:p> </o:p>

Things I wish I could forget

· Waiting 5 months to get paid out by WorldWager (how I found the Rx)

· Losing $10,000 on game 2 <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:City w:st="on">Phoenix</st1:City> vs <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Dallas</st1:place></st1:City> last year

<o:p> </o:p>

Posters I wish I got to know better:

· Jazz

· DocDeckay

· Balls of Blue

Posters I wish I never read:

· Oldfriend

· AK

· JJ Gold

<o:p> </o:p>

Books I was kicked out of:

· Linewiz

· Royal (not kicked out but limits reduced to $50)

Book that kicked my Ass:

· Pinnacle

· V-Wager

Books I liked the Most:

· Olympic

· <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placeName w:st="on">ABC</st1:placeName> <st1:placeType w:st="on">Island</st1:placeType></st1:place> (underrated)

· Linesmaker (underrated)

Favorite Customer Service Guy:

· Jake from Sportbet

<o:p> </o:p>

Thanks to all the Forums I posted at, posters I learned from and laughed with, and to everyone to contributing for the good times I had.

Best of luck in gambling and personal endeavors to all of you. I may sstill ee you around the forums a bit.

Jman- thanks. I really do credit the RX with much of my success. Pretty happy with my "asian hottie" going o 12 years this month.

Fish- Did pick up 3 small scalps on my final night of wagering last evening. Nice to go out a winner. All accounts now withdrawn and zeroed out.

What will you be doing to take up your time? Nobody walks away with the impressive gambling resume you have.

Dante- Thanks. It was a pleasure meeting you and posting with you. Maintain your integrity and keep your sunny outlook on life. No gambling anymore for me.

Chuck- Trying to get my life back in order. I need to lose weight, exercise, before it does some real damage to me. Other than that, its nothing major, just spending more time with my kids (8 and 10) and their activities (school, soccer, swimming), and reading (just finished 1776, an excellent read). Back to the "normal" life most people have.

I never had the pleasure of meeting/talking to you while you were here, unfortunetly, but you sound like a really great and genuine/classy guy. And from reading what some of the other respected posters at the site have to say about you it would seem that you are just that. I wish you the best of luck with the new goals you've now set for yourself in life. :awesom:
