The lone Wednesday game on the NCAAF odds board is naturally a better value than most of the baseball games, and the Knights are a slightly better pick at –140 on the moneyline than they are as 3-point favorites, thanks in part to the magic number 3. According to Wizard of Odds, a spread of –3 in college football is about the same as a moneyline of –142.

The main reason we like UCF here is because of their defense. Their secondary is good enough to keep a lid on the SMU offense, while the Knights running game should be able to slice through the Mustangs.
