Why was Peterson convicted of murder for the fetus in Lacy's womb? A fetus does not become a life until it is born. For all we know the baby could have died during birth.

By this recent judgement , abortion is murder as well. I think this case sets a dangerous precendent.

I think our Justice System is insane.

California passed a fetal murder law back in 1970 that allows a murder charge after 8 weeks pregnant. 29 other states have similar laws. Congress is looking into enacting a federal law that would apply similarly across the board. Although abortion is exempt under the law, it would go a long way towards breaking down Roe v. Wade.

Maybe it is for the best. I think the Dems have been carrying this ball and chain long enough. Now is probably a good time to put such considerations like this and gay marriage on a back burner. This country has much larger problems right now. I don't know why the rapture freaks want to bring children into a world they think is short on time anyway.
