Wil would help with a non-sponsor, and there is still Shrink and SBR, and others.

They are still an A book, even if they don't advertise here. Problems not any more likely at 5D than anywhere else, except maybe on weird stuff, and that's just because of line volume. The reputation is there, same with Bookmaker,Greek.

Natrually if a Rxer had a problem with 5Dimes I would be happy to help. The rare occasions that there are disputes at 5Dimes it usually involve some of their exotic prop interpertations. Most disputes are settled quickly and fairly.

Yep, vaguely worded props are a problem....anywhere.

Anything remotely close to normal... like Patriots -7.5 points, can only go one way.

I've seen 5D pay both sides when they screw up.

Props are all the way its worded. It's like a worded math problem sometimes, many people struggle with those.

The hot dog eating prop was a recent problem for some that bet it at 5D.

Not 5D, but Bodog here with a prop problem. Poster says they paid it. From elsewhere. Props are always a problem.

Bodog live betting- HR Derby- J. Hamilton. Give opinions please <hr style="color: rgb(43, 41, 94);" size="1"> <!-- / icon and title --> <!-- message --> I placed several wagers on the Bodog Live availability prior to the second round of the HR Derby. There were 4 options from which to wager upon. Whether Josh Hamilton in the second round would hit 1) 0-5 HR's 2) 6-8HR's 3) 9-12 HR's & 4) 13+ HR's. I made several wagers on option #1, knowing that he wouldn't even need to bat to advance to the finals. Josh hit 4 HR's in that second round and then decided not to hit any more so he ended up with 4. My wagers were graded as "NO ACTION" and I am kind of pissed off at Bodog about it. I can almost understand if it was graded as "NO ACTION" if he didn't bat at all, but that was not the case. There are no listed rules regarding HR Derbies. Can you guys tell me if I have a strong case or if I should let it go? I feel strongly that I am right but I want other opinions. Thank you.

Bodog Management realizes that the rules of the event were not clearly posted and that grading all wagers as a “no-action” on the second round of Josh Hamilton in the Home Run Derby was not in the best interests of its customers. The mistake has been fixed by crediting the winners (and leaving the losers No-Actioned). Nothing is needed from affected players and they do not need to call CS.

5D would wind up doing the same thing, IMO.

I personally would highly recommend 5Dimes. They have been around for ever, and I can't recall any major issues.

The reasons for them no longer being up top has absolutely nothing to do with them or theRX, but they have been dragged into the competitive battle between SportsOptions and Don Best.

Even though 5Dimes and theRX have absolutely no involvement (aside from adverting deals) with either SO or DB, some of the high-level participants in the DB parent company are trying to bully companies to further line their own pockets - even if it is at the expense of others.

Wasn't BetonSports "on top"? Being on top doesn't mean anything on this site. 5dimes is still a sponsor at other sites.

I'm on the list of people they have tried to bully but I call BS when I see it and told them no thanks.

5D isn't Pinny, they don't want huge sharp action... they can boot you, it is their right. They will pay you, though !

They fit a guy betting $500- $1,000 or so and under, if you want 20k, there are better books for you than 5D. A dime's worth on a game fits 99% of players.

5D is excellent for most.

And I have been hosed by 5 dimes because of a poorly worded prop. Had to do with a prop on a golf tourney. They clearly didn't understand the prop they were laying. Can't say I've been screwed anywhere else on a prop due to the book's lack of understanding of terminology.

Props become a word problem, like the Bodog example I gave. You'll eventually have problems anywhere with props, IMO.

5D has problems because they have many available.

You won't have a problem betting more normal stuff.

I had a problem with a pitching change one time. I think Doug knows about it.
I think I remember him reading that thread if memory serves me right.
