SBR Bill Dozer reports: SportsInteraction (SBR rating D+) cheats player of winning wager. SIA has voided a wager on the UEFA cup match between Panionios and Dynamo Tblisi, citing that the match was fixed. SIA admits to suspecting that the match was tainted well before the start of the event yet they did not cancel this player’s wager until the game had concluded. SIA claims that they waited to void the wager in order to verify that the match was indeed fixed. These actions are unacceptable as the player risked his funds without the possibility of winning. If this wager had lost, and the event appeared unscripted, the player would have lost his funds.

Sounds typical of what SIA is known for. I wonder what proof SIA has that this match was fixed?

SIA has been doing things like that and very similar since they've been around. The customer service is about the worst I've ever seen by a book that has stuck around a few years. You DO NOT want to do anything where there can be a decision made, it always goes against you. Ironically though you can't afford not to have an account there, like BoDog they are a great book for us squares. Just be prepared to beard yourself back in once you win about 12-15k, unless it has changed they will boot you very quickly if you have a clue.

Even if you have no clue whatsoever, it is still a great place to have an account.

Be prepared to wait 24-48 hours (business days) for a NT withdrawal.

Fair play to SIA, when you have a winning bet they only steal half your money.

The player has accepted this settlement and withdraws his complaint to SBR. SportsInteraction believes this is a fair resolution and has agreed that it was wrong to wait until after the event to void the wager.

unbelievable

Just what is SIA's definition of "fancy" plays?

Clearly it includes betting on the UEFA Cup, which happens to be the second biggest club soccer competition on Earth. It also includes betting on who will win Wimbledon, the biggest tennis tourney on Earth.

I don't mind books that void bets BEFORE the match starts. Does anyone on this site seriously think SIA would have voided this bet if it had not been a winning one?

I for one can do without the hassle of wondering whether I have a bet on or not, and stopped playing there over a year ago.

I don't regret it. For me any book which voids a bet after the event has begun is simply a THIEF plain & simple.

I didn't say I did that Doug, just saying that you are done there very quickly if you win. If you want to stay you have to get creative. Although some folks have no choice but to beard in to joints I am against it when used to beat books out of bonuses, referrals etc......

It appears SIA is only giving partial winnings to all the players who bet on the final score. I have not heard from the players who have wagered on the side. Some players wagered as little as $20.00 and are receiving less than half of the posted payout.

Even small players, who do not shop lines, need to realize SIA may not payout the posted winnings because their linesman was sleeping at the wheel.
