There's only so much Instant Replay covers right now in MLB.

One, that it doesn't cover is a Call at Home Plate.

Like last night's game Oakland vs. Minny....Bottom of the 9th
Runner came Home ( for the Tie ) Ump called him Out.
He was Clearly Safe...after watching the Replay on TV

So My question is, Should they Expand what they use Instant Replay in MLB ?

Damn right they should. And I think most of us agree, it's just plain stupid to use it on HRs and fair/foul only. You could easily use it at home plate. And don't give me that stupid "it makes the game too long" excuse. Really? What do you think happens when these umpires miss a call? Nobody ever argues? And it takes, oh, about one minute to get the call right.

By the way, I've been yelling for years that the NFL should use replay on Pass Interference as well. The biggest plays should be reviewed. Always. And get them right.

never on strikes, and balls, ONLY ON TAGS SPECIFICALLY.

in this setup we find a solid fair split,

no reason to not use it with tags.

no. missed calls have been part of the game for over a hundred years. don't tell me you guys would rather see a red flag come out of the dugout instead of a pissed off fat man getting into the ump's face.~~:<

Agree, no need for it for Balls and Strikes
Tag out at the Plate, which of course can Change the outcome of the Game.

why not on balls and stikes? what if it's the bottom of the 9th, bases loaded and a full count, and up calls strike 3 on what was obviously ball 4?

doggonit, i'll argue balls and strikes. i've seen a number of games this year where a missed 3rd strike kept an inning alive for a team that would go on to score several runs in that inning.

now, maybe you could expand replay to calls at home plate, but there's gotta be a line drawn. no point in replaying a missed call at the plate if it's a 10 run game. so therefore, only replay if it's say, a spread of 4 runs or less. and make it like football, where they look at it upstairs and then call down to say if it needs to be looked at. no point in arguing the call for five minutes, then spending another 5 looking at it.

I think if they start to challenge tags it will be a mess, will it be like football, where each coach gets challenges, and how many per game? I don't think it works with baseball, it would definitely slow down an already slow paced sport

MLB is stuck in the dark ages and this year there seems to be more blown calls by the umpires then I can remember. Why not like football, provide each manager with two challenges and then review the play to see if the challenge should be upheld or not. You can either review using an official in a booth or the 4 umpires review it like they do now with the close home run calls. The object is to get it right.

Give each team a number of challenges like in American Football.

The problem is that baseball isn't called by the letter of the law. If the ball beats you, and the tag is in front of the bag, you're out. Period. Doesn't matter if your leg slid in there. And on dp balls, if you're in the vicinity of the bag, it's an out.

Instant replay just won't happen to this degree.

definitely needs to be expanded and suspect it will. Too many blown calls just like the play at the plate the other night. That ump was right on top of it and still missed it. Saw a trapped ball the other day to end a game too. These are calls that can clearly be reversed in a matter of seconds by checking the replay.

Just happened in the Mets-Nationals game. Force out at 2nd - guy clearly out on replay - and to compound the umpires ineptitude, he had the quickest hook ever and threw Castillo out of the game for calling out his horseshit call. Think it was the 2nd inning too. Umpires = BAD!
