I guess everything is fair game, but not really relevant.

Roberts would be the 4th Catholic on the S.C. and apparently this worries some on the 'Left'

Should JFKs Catholicism have been and issue? No, but it was.

I wonder if 3 Jews were on the Court and a fourth were up for confirmation would Durbin be worried about having too many Jews on the S.C.?

He was the 1st so naturally it was an issue but I hoped we had that "issue" behind us.

When Roberts make statements effectively saying he might have to recuse himself on matters concerning faith, I'd say it matters.

Being catholic in itself shouldn't and doesn't matter, but if it effects his ability to decide matters independent of his faith, then it does matter.

Jinn, IMHO if the dems press too hard on this it will hurt us even more with the catholic electorate, maybe wouldn't hurt much in Senate races but would hurt in House races.

I think both Durbin's and Roberts comments were off the record. I hope it does not come up in the Hearings.

I think "Turbin" Durbin won't be happy until Sadamm is appointed to our Supreme Court

Little can be done to stop Roberts coronation. If the White House coughs up the documents there might be something revealing. What are they hiding hmmm?

Excuse me if I am wrong, but don't Catholics swear allegiance to the Pope? Or maybe that was in the past- I don't know!

Only if it is fair game when it comes to Hillary...the godless heathen... becomes an issue for her presidential run.
