Shouldn't the line be -4? I capped the game at ND-7 and trying to get input on why I shouldn't make this my biggest bet of the tourney.

SFA appears to be on a mission. I would like Notre Dame blindly here, but something keeps reminded me of their dismantle by UNC recently...

Wow I just refreshed my book and you are right. Something doesn't add up. Cinderella team?

Kinda like Mia Fla. yesterday being a dog to a lower seed. Don't over think it. ND is the play.

Thank you

I also found this in Cnotes posts

Since 1998, 14-seeds are 0-9 vs spread in second round; last win by 14-seed in this round was Chattanooga in '97. SF Austin didn't look like a 14-seed Friday- they were +15 (22-7) in turnovers, held West Virginia to 36.1% inside arc while getting to line 39 times themselves. Notre Dame is more of an offensive team; they're 4-4 in last eight games overall- last year was first Sweet 16 for Irish in 12 years. ND will have crowd edge playing in Brooklyn. Austin is #1 in country, forcing turnovers on 26.1% of possessions- they do it more in halfcourt than by pressing like West Va does.

Good stuff Diago - They Turn N.dame over and get a lead they take the crowd out

Stat Fox - PR #10 at 91 vs N.dame #44 at 83.
Average power rating of opponents played: SF AUSTIN ST 66.6, NOTRE DAME 78.1

FYI - West Virg was #16 @ 89

Walkup is the Key to SA.
Walkup was a matchup nightmare for West Virginia, scoring 25 of his 33 points in the second half by beating the big men off the dribble and overpowering smaller players. Coach Brad Underwood says Stephen F. Austin plays ''position-less basketball'' and Walkup is the focal point.

I agree with this, I have 2 very strong systems.......if the team is favored and just won as a dog they are a strong play in this tournament..........if the public is on the other side. This line moves just strengthens it, as long as SFA remains favored.

That's my problem why I can't back SFA here. Walkup is the whole team and if you can isolate him, they have no chance in winning.

Don't use Huggy bear and WVU as a barometer to judge SFA. Many people said on selection day and the days following that SFA was just the team to give them trouble and SFA did just that. WVU also is like a roller coaster and that style (40 mins of hell, pitino, huggins pressure) can beat the best and get beat by the worse.

Experience will be a better barometer from this point on in the tourney and experience guards are showing out. Coulson and Auguste have been huge for ND and keeping them out of foul trouble will be the deciding factor in my opinion.

What I saw from sfa vs wvu wasn't walkup being the whole team.

It was either them or wvu making the sweet 16 with that defense. Sfa is the play

Im on sfa again today too. This team is hungry to make a run.

Takes a lot for me to become a fan of a player but this kid is all over the place doing all the little things. Plus he can dribble. Did you see the cross over pull up ? Dude is forreal.

SFA is a very tough team to prepare for on 1 day. They play a unique style and make it hard to run offense against.
