Hondo

Horrible Hondo: Four!

Hondo hit the dreaded four-figure deficit mark Tuesday night when he went double-draino with the Sawx and Cards to put the filthy figure at a whopping 1,000 dyers.

Wednesday night: Matt Harvey says he rejects the notion the Mets are a year away from winning, arguing that they can win now. Mr. Aitch will take him at his word — 10 units on the Hitless Wonders.

Here's the MLB system bets for June 10:

Arizona {C} bet - Note that this is an unofficial bet because it does not pass the RPI filter!

Remember to bet on the +1.5 run line if it is offered, or the money line if it is not offered.

Make sure to observe the following Exterminator system guideline:

In the month of June: Bet normally on all the qualifying bets under the original MLB system. That means risking a flat 5% (conservative), 10% (average), or 15% (aggressive) of your bankroll depending on your risk level on every qualifying {A}, {B}, and {C} bet in the original MLB system. Again, you want to bet that same percentage amount for all the {A}, {B}, and {C} bets that qualified under the original system.

In June, pass on any series where the first game of a rematch series between the 2 teams happens more than 60 days after their most recent game (after the last game of the original 3-game series or the second game of an intermediate confirmatory 2-game series).

Also, please keep in mind the following filters of the system:

- Do not bet on a team whose road record winning percentage is in the bottom 10% in the league if they are playing on the road

- Play is only official if the RPI value of our team is no more than .015 lower than opponent's.

- Play is only official if our team is not playing against a top 2 highest ranked RPI team

Note that the system plays are official only when they pass all the filters above. If they fail to pass any filter, then the play is considered unofficial.

GOODFELLAS (Not from Pregame)
(MLB) BALTIMORE -120 BOSTON (7PM)
Backing the Orioles to continue there winning against the Redsox. Baltimore starter Chen (1-4, 3.18), who continues to pitch well without much to show for it. The left-hander has allowed more than three earned runs only once, and he secured his seventh quality start by yielding two runs in 6 1/3 innings. Boston starter Porcello (4-5, 5.01 ERA), allowed 13 runs over his final two May starts to drop his ERA to 5.37. Baltimore (27-30) had no trouble against Porcello in back-to-back April starts. The right-hander allowed 12 runs in 11 total innings against the Orioles.
(MLB) NY METS -165 SAN FRAN (7PM)
What a better way to get back in the win column then having your ACE on the mound. Matt Harvey (6-3, 3.05 ERA) lost all three decisions over his final five starts of May, dropping the last two after surrendering 11 runs in 12 innings. Look for Harvey to bounce back at home.

SYDNEY ST GEORGE
(MLB) ST LOUIS -130 COLORADO (310PM)
ST Louis turns to Martinez (6-2, 2.94 ERA) who has limited opponents to two runs or less in nine of 11 starts. The right-hander is 3-0 with an 0.33 ERA -- the majors' best mark since May 20 -- over his last four outings. He had his scoreless innings streak end at 21 2/3 -- the longest such run this season. He will improve on MLB's best ERA since mid-May and help the visiting Cardinals avoid a season high-tying third straight loss.
(MLB) PITTSBURGH/MILWAUKEE OVER 7.5 -120 (7PM)
Pittsburgh starter Morton (3-0, 2.84 ERA) has been on fire since his return from hip surgery. The right-hander allowed three earned runs over 14 innings while winning his first two starts. He wasn't as sharp but got plenty of support Friday. This is still Charlie Morton. He has been pitching out of his mind. Milwaukee starter Lohse (3-6, 6.59) has posted a 9.35 mark while dropping his last three meetings against the Pirates. Both tams have striggled hitting in this series. Look for both teams to break the bats out tonight.

SIMON CERBONE (Soccer)
INTERNATIONAL FRIENDLIES (OVER 3 -140) USA @ GERMANY (230PM)

JEFF BARONE
(MLB) PHILADELHIA/CINCINNATI UNDER 8.5 -105 (1235PM)
The Phillies throw Jerome Williams to the mound Wednesday. He has pitched fewer than six innings in seven of his last eight starts and his ERA is among the worst in MLB. Rookie Jon Moscot makes his second start, allowed four runs and struck out three in five innings of a 6-2 loss to San Diego. However he did retire 11 of his final 12 batters. This game screams OVER.. I say UNDER.
(MLB) KANSAS CITY/MINNESOTA OVER 8 -115 (8PM)
Volquez (4-4, 3.26 ERA), who's 0-2 with a 4.13 ERA in four road starts, gave up three runs in 7 2/3 innings of a 3-1 loss at Minnesota on April 15. Minnesota starter (4-3, 3.00) wasn't sharp opposite Volquez on April 20, giving up four runs with four walks in five innings in a 7-1 loss

DAVE COKIN – MLB

3* TOTAL MAX BET – Astros/White Sox Under 8.5 +100 (Velasquez/Quintana)
There are some scouts who believe that among all the prospects rising in the very deep Houston system, Vincent Velasquez might have the highest ceiling of all the pitchers. His breaking ball improvement this season to go with a big late moving heater and a plus change, have him putting up crazy numbers at Corpus Christi. The White Sox are better offensively against righties, but I figure they have trouble with this kid. Jose Quintana has had three bad starts and eight good ones. Seven of his eleven starts he’s given up two runs or fewer and the Astros are not much with the sticks against southpaws. I’m taking this at the current number regardless of weather or bullpen, as I think it’s too high, so let’s play the Under.

2* Cubs -106 (Arrieta/Greene)
Could be a pretty substantial edge on the mound here as Jake Arrieta is well ahead of Shane Greene, plus the Tigers righty loaded lineup is way more daunting against southpaws. Greene has been pretty awful lately. I think it’s conceivable he could be close to some kind of demotion if he doesn’t turn things around to at least some extent. Offenses pretty close when factoring in the L/R splits. Bullpen edge overall is Detroit but not so recently as JMad has shifted some pieces in the Cubs relief corps and recent results have been better. I think the Cubs are worth a bet here.
