DeMarco says Valentino's play is a day time start so don't delay on this one so I'm thinking it's the earlier of the games and its a road winner and I don't think its the Marlins. I
d bet the house it's the NYY minus the 1.5 runs! I mean Toronto beats NY down 2 games in a row and now NY is a -160 favorite with a runline of even money???? I think Vegas knows the Yankees win this one pretty convincingly. It's all about reading between the lines folks BOL and if anyone has the play for sure, please post. Thanks!

Saturday's Action

60 Dime baseball seleetion on the Cardinals as a slight road favorite at the Reds. At the time I release this winner, St. Louis is a -125 chalk acrooss the board both here in Vegas and offshore. Note that when placing your action, you must list Chris Carpenter and Bronson Arroyo as the starting pitcoers. Both guys must go or this play is VOID!

OffshoreInsiders.com Senior Sports Handicapper Matt Rivers has a Saturday baseball lock and it’s is on the Texas Rangers (-105) to Seattle.

Reasoning: There aren’t many bigger Felix Hernandez fans than me as the King is awesome and flat out filthy a lot of the time. But with that said he hasn’t exactly been on the tip top of his game this season and today is being backed by his usual dreadful offense against a very good pitcher in CJ Wilson and that quite possibly may mean no runs at all once again for Seattle.

CJ Wilson continues being a road warrior today bets sports handicapper

Ichiro and the Mariners lineup has been fairly awful and today they go up against a borderline great hurler in CJ Wilson. I guess Justin Smoak and Adan Kennedy are ok but that is literally, save Ichiro who hasn’t even been all that at all this season, the best hitters on this team and that is beyond pathetic.

Wilson broke through last season in a huge way thanks in part to Cliff Lee coming over and the lefthander has only improved thus far this season. Wilson is no joke as the 9-3 record shows to go along with that 3.20 era. Yes he blew up a bit in the All-Star game and didn’t have a great last start at home against the A’s allowing an uncharacteristic four runs but this guy is great and I don’t see the extremely light hitting M’s doing much damage here at Safeco.

Meanwhile Hernandez may be very good as the guy is the reigning Cy Young award winner for a reason but he at least has some competition going up against red hot bashers like Hamilton, Cruz, Beltre, Young and Kinsler among others and there is no margin of error for Hernandez in this thing. The Cat has not had that perfect gem no runs allowed start in a long time and to be honest, up against Wilson, that is very possibly what it may take and I just do not see it happening vs. Ron Washington’s sluggers.

It’s tough to go against Hernandez as he is truly that good but I don’t see my guy allowing much of anything and in this scenario with my offense I am just fine with the Rangers at a near pick, just fine!

Top expert pick on this game: Texas from Matt Rivers

WUNDERDOG (MLB)
MLB 42-36 last 78 picks +$1230
1 OF 5
Game: Philadelphia at New York Mets (4:10 PM Eastern)
Pick: Game Total UNDER 7 -105

The Phillies get a lot of hype in their rotation with Lee, Halladay and Oswalt, but the guy that has done the most damage to opposing hitters is today's starter Cole Hamels. Hamels is quietly 11-4 with a 2.32 ERA, going nine starts in a row without allowing more than 2 runs. The Mets counter with Jonathon Neise who has allowed 3 runs or less in 10 of his last 11 starts. It's needless to say that the hitters will be the challenged ones in this game. Give Hamels five days of rest and the result has been 17-5 to the UNDER in his last 22. Hamels has also pitched the Phillies to a 38-18-5 mark to the UNDER as a favorite. The Mets should be obliging here as they have posted a 9-2 mark to the UNDER in their last 11 as a dog.
Play the UNDER.

Phillies at Mets
Pick: Phillies

Getting C.Hamels at this price is too good to pass up on. He's 5-1 on the road with an ERA of 2.20 and a WHIP of 0.92! In daytime starts (4 EST start plenty of daylight) he's 3-1 with an ERA of 1.83 and a WHIP of 0.84! J.Niese is 3-4 at home with a solid 3.40 ERA. But his WHIP is 1.51. In daytime starts he's 4-3 with an ERA of 5.18 and a WHIP of 1.52. Philly should have plenty of chances offensively.
