It's time for our first official bet in a while! Let's pick up this win with ease! Here's the official bet for June 5:

Tampa Bay {A} bet - This is an official bet!

Remember to bet on the +1.5 run line if it is offered, or the money line if it is not offered.

Make sure to observe the following Exterminator system guideline:

In the month of June: Bet normally on all the qualifying bets under the original MLB system. That means risking a flat 5% (conservative), 10% (average), or 15% (aggressive) of your bankroll depending on your risk level on every qualifying {A}, {B}, and {C} bet in the original MLB system. Again, you want to bet that same percentage amount for all the {A}, {B}, and {C} bets that qualified under the original system.

In June, pass on any series where the first game of a rematch series between the 2 teams happens more than 60 days after their most recent game (after the last game of the original 3-game series or the second game of an intermediate confirmatory 2-game series).

Also, please keep in mind the following filters of the system:

- Do not bet on a team whose road record winning percentage is in the bottom 10% in the league if they are playing on the road

- Play is only official if the RPI value of our team is no more than .015 lower than opponent's.

- Play is only official if our team is not playing against a top 2 highest ranked RPI team

Note that the system plays are official only when they pass all the filters above. If they fail to pass any filter, then the play is considered unofficial.

Hondo

Hondo eyes a Twinner

Hondo brought his two-game slide to a halt Thursday night in L.A. where he cashed with his ace, Wacha, who shut down the Dodgers to lower the NRN (nasty red number to 735 pascuals.

Friday night: Mr. Aitch will be pickin’ and grinnin’ with Gibson — 10 units on the Twinks to make a loser out of Lohse.

The weekend has arrived for another chance at a Triple Crown History. It is also a big weekend for those of you who took a chance with me and played "American Pharoah" to win the Triple Crown at 16-1 odds back in April before the Kentucky Derby. We will get to that race and the other stakes for Saturday tomorrow. We do have some nice stakes races today up at Belmont Park and we will give it a go and try to get some winners before the big day.

As always---I recommend a Win/Place/Show wager on all top plays as well as the exacta listed for each race.

Now, here's the MLB system bet for June 5:

Toronto {A} bet - This is an unofficial bet (does not meet RPI filter)

Remember to bet on the +1.5 run line if it is offered, or the money line if it is not offered.

Make sure to observe the following Exterminator system guideline:

In the month of June: Bet normally on all the qualifying bets under the original MLB system.

2* Astros +120 (Hernandez/Sanchez)
Never easy to back the former Faust Carmona. But I'll take my chances here. This is more team than pitcher. Blue Jays are okay at home, but not compared to what the Astros have done on the road. Also worth noting that the Jays have been meat against the AL West and the Astros have dominated the AL East so far. No surprise there as the East is a bad division this year. Aaron Sanchez throwing for Toronto here. His control has improved some but now he's getting more hittable as he throws more strikes. Hernandez actually features the better overall analytics, although again I have little faith in him. But based on the team elements, this is just an overlay and I'll try to taker advantage with the Astros.

2* Royals -145 (Gonzalez/Volquez)
Above my normal threshold, but I made my mind up after watching Chi Chi Gonzalez in his debut that I would probably be going against him here. He might have had the no-hitter for several innings, but it sure wasn't a no-walker. I thought he was extremely fortunate in that win and will be ripe for the taking here. Edinson Volquez has had a fine year for the Royals and as long as he continues to command the strike zone as he has, he's going to be mighty tough. The Royals haven't hit much lately, but I feel as though they have a great chance to light up this kid. Toyed with the idea of finding another chalk piece and playing a parlay, but I decided to simply bite the bullet on the price and play the Royals.

JEFF BARONE
(MLB) ATLANTA +110 PITTSBURGH (730PM)
I really like Braves starter Perez (1-0, 2.66) who has been a pleasant surprise since sliding into the rotation last month, limiting opponents to two runs over 18 innings in his first three big league starts. He earned his first win Saturday, yielding four hits and four walks over seven innings of an 8-0 victory in San Francisco. Charlie Morton is 0-2 lifetime for the Braves. Pittsburgh is coming off a weekend sweep in SF and now are traveling to play Atlanta. Lets go Braves.

GOODFELLAS
(WNBA) ATLANTA/NY UNDER 151.5 (730PM)
(MLB) PHILADELPHIA +116 SF (7PM)
Phillies starter Williams (3-5, 5.49) has given up at least three runs in 10 straight starts since his first. He has been bad. He is 0-2 with a 6.75 ERA and .400 opponent on-base percentage in his last three outings. Lincecum (5-3, 3.00 ERA) has had a nice rebirth this season, but has struggled recently. On the road, he's 1-1 with a 4.79 ERA. I can never trust the FREAK, and like th home dog tonight. Phillies and Williams right the ship.

SYDNEY ST GEORGE
(MLB) HOUSTON/TORONTO OVER 9-110 (7PM)
Houston starter Hernandez (2-4, 4.92 ERA) has struggled in each of his last two outings, giving up seven runs in five innings of Houston's 10-8 win over Detroit on May 24 before allowing five runs in 5 2/3 innings of Sunday's 6-0 loss. Toronto starter Sanchez (4-4, 3.88) pitched fewer than six innings in each of his first five starts. The Astros (34-21) have the AL's best record and rank in the top 10 in the majors in runs. Look for both teams to score.
