LOCK 3*: ST. LOUIS BLUES
Love the Blues tonight to make the playoffs tonight in front of the home crowd. Rumor is Columbus will more likely rest key players, not much or any ice time, and not risk anything in this meaningless matchup. The Blues are 4-0 in their last 4 home games, 4-0 in their last 4 Friday games and 6-0 in their last 6 home games vs. a team with a losing road record.

BET THE FARM 5*: St. Louis Blues -160

Definitely laying the wood I made on that huge dog call last night with Phoenix in San Jose. The headlines are already written for this game- The Blues end their playoff drought against a Jackets team that lays down to them tonight on the road. Blue Jackets are 1-7 in the last 8 meetings and 6-18-1 in the last 25 meetings in St. Louis.

4* Red Sox (973) at Angels: A tough week for both teams, much more so for the Angels. The Angels have far greater concerns at the moment, less than 48 hours removed from the accident that took the life of promising 22-year-old pitcher Nick Adenhart. "It’s a tragedy that won’t be forgotten,’’ Angels manager Mike Scioscia said. In addition, the Angels rotation was already decimated by injuries. The Angels are only going with 29-year old starter Shane Loux, who has below average stuff and doesn't miss many bats. He's the definition of a Triple-A hurler. Boston starter Brad Penny is in a contract year (a one year deal) and had a great spring, hitting 96 after battling an injured arm last season. He looks great. Boston has a strong offense, outstanding defense in the field behind him, in addition to the deepest pen in the game. A great spot for the visitors. Play the Red Sox.

$35.00 Guaranteed: Fargo has gotten off to a fantastic start in MLB as he won Monday as the Rangers WON in a BLOWOUT, Tuesday as the Braves WON over the Phillies and Wednesday as the Brewers WON over the Giants! He puts his 3-0 (100%) MLB Season record on the line tonight as he is featuring his American League Game of the Week for Friday! We bring home another one tonight! Guaranteed! 4/10/2009

**7** A.L. GAME OF THE WEEK **3-0 START** Ryan Rowand-Smith gets the call for the Mariners and he is in a good spot for tonight. He was the Mariners' most effective starter the final six weeks of last season, reeling off eight consecutive quality starts during August and September. Rowland-Smith must keep the ball down and change speeds to be effective. He had a 1-1 record and 3.94 ERA in four appearances against the A’s last season. The final one was against the A’s on September 27, when he won a 7-3 decision. He said the recollections of that game could help him Friday night. Brett Anderson was supposed to make his Major League debut last night against the Angels but the tragedy to Nick Adenhart postponed the game and Anderson was pushed back until tonight. It will be interesting to see how he reacts to that move and I do not think it will be positive. A rookie making his debut is one thing but then when the schedule gets moved around, the more the pressure gets put on. Anderson is the A’s top pitching prospect and he is overpriced tonight because of it. 7* Seattle Mariners
