Serious question, what is "change we can believe in"?

it's a campaign slogan that seems to be working pretty well

why are you thinking that the average american is anything more than a topic headline reader? do they vote on issues?

not enough of them

if i'm running for president (or any office), i'd be worried about getting into office....you really don't get there talking about issues (unfortunately)

is mccain really speaking issues?

one thing that gets to me (on both sides) is when one thinks they are holier than the other...both sides are trying to do the same thing

find a way to get belief back into the citizens, biggest problem going on in this forum, dem/rep/ind. or otherwise, is the lack of belief in the government to make things work for all in a manner generally acceptable to all.

The type of change that BHO is wanting is straight Marxism at it's finest. Take from the have's and give to the have not's

but this is not change, many have espoused this philosophy, and we practice this practice in many different ways already

Not one of the Obamaphobes has ever missed a meal or a house payment due to supposedly excess government taxes which are redistributed to help feed and house less fortunate Americans.

But that imaginary scenario sure keeps their underwear soiled more days than not and I'm sure the liberal longtime big-government McCain will appreciate their irrational fears come November.

right bardude, but BO wants to "change" that

if he takes more, we'll have to consume less. Maybe we will all be healthier

He won't take much more because Congress won't let him do it even if he wanted to do it.

Even the most boisterous Democratic Congressman is not going to get much political mileage out of a federal tax increase of more than a couple percent.

You're more versed than I on the current slottings for income tax rates. What is the top end these days (federal) - maybe 35%?

Followup question - show the approximate breakdown of federal tax rates based on Adj Gross income

example

250,000 = 38%
150,000 = 35%
100,000 = 33%

etc

my figures above are imaginary for example only
