I'm not trying to be a dick, I'm just wondering out loud. I'm a deep thinker and have considered all possibilities, and I am trying to understand your views.

What was the age of the first people that were formed? I have never studied evolution and didn't pay attention in freshman biology. I know that you guys want to believe that we evolved from apes. But seriously, since there was no life and then life had a beginning, what is the most likely scenario for how it played out? The only way that life can form now is by reproduction. But at the beginning of life, how was it formed? Did adult apes just appear and then start reproducing? Or was it cells that grew into infants and then grew up? If it was infants, how did they survive on their own without parents?

The Primordial Soup Theory suggest that life began in a pond or ocean as a result of the combination of chemicals from the atmosphere and some form of energy to make amino acids, the building blocks of proteins, which would then evolve into all the species.

that's the bio explaination to where it all began as far as lifeforms go.....

i'm personally a scientist and agnostic...is there a higher power i don't fucking know.....as well as science is somewhat of a religion as well....things we think are true today won't necessary be true 300 years from now.....

all i know is that i don't know nothing....is pretty much my motto....and alot of what you "know" is based on probabilities

The honest worshipers of the religion of Darwinism will admit that they
have no friggen clue about how life started, all they try to say is that
once life got here, it somehow evolved from simple cells to human
beings (ROFL).

You have idiots like Richard Dawkins and Francis Crick who propose that
some alien came to earth and blew a load of sperm, and that's how
we got here (ROFL) For more information on this crock, see "Directed
Panspermia."

Worshipers at the idol of Darwinism are so desperate to believe his
dogma, that they find a fossil of a 3 lb lemur and immediately jump
up and down and claim it's the missing link in human evolution (ROFL).

To be more exact, worshipers of the religion of Darwinism believe that
humans evolved from a common ancestor of the modern ape.

We didn't evolved from Apes. We shared a common ancestor with modern day primates. Huge difference.

Question for the Christians, how do you know you religion is right when there are literally thousands of religions? Plus many that came before the Abraham religions?

I thought this was going to be a decent thread, but less then 2 posts in, Zit is already calling people idiots who don't believe the way he wants them to believe. He knows all.

Agreed. When ever you discuss religion it's an emotional topic, and very few people can discuss their thoughts rationally.

Zit is right that evolution is a religion of sorts in it's own right

There is data and facts that lead to certain probabalistic conclusions not necessarily the truth

Just as Christianity is based on faith with some facts and data surrounding it like Jesus was a real dude that lived and preached along the lines of what is found in the bible

On the grand scale of things we are extremely ignorant on the universal scale and guys like Einstein are only slightly less ignorant than the average joe

Is Atomic Theory a religion? I'll agree as a species we really don't know a lot on a universal scale, but it's ok to say I don't know. The Faith based groups seem to have trouble accepting this fact.

When Dawkins was say an Alien race could have planted us here he was pointing out that theory is just as plausible as the creation stories from that Abraham religions

The big question I have is how the whole thing got started as far as the big bang theory and such

Most people I know with a reasonable education in biology and/or anthropology believe that human beings did not evolve from "apes". Rather, human beings and simians (apes) evolved down distinct evolutionary lines from a common ancestry that dates back at least a half million years ago.

Further analysis and current - albeit limited - understanding of the intelligent life forms which preceded neanderthal humans can be found on most any well produced science website.

The electron used to be accepted as fact as being the smallest particle

Now it's a quark

Electron orbitals and such is all based on probabalistic studies

*The most honest of all of us will admit that we have very, very few clues about how life started on planet Earth

*We do have seemingly idiotic beliefs among a small minority of our population who propose that male human beings were created from dry swamp goo and that females were subsequently created from a single rib of the first male. And they also believe that no human beings existed prior to about 6500 years ago.

Thank goodness none of us are literally required to know all the answers.

Exactly and that's why I'm so interested in Science and Discovery. I can't just accept that for lack of a better term, a magic man in the sky, just waved a wand and set it in motion. But I was never raised with a religion and now it's pretty much impossible for me to accept one as truth.

A good way to get the mind set that we did not evolve from apes would be to disassemble your television set, then wait around for thousands of years and see if it evolves back into a television set.

I don't know anyone who believes that human beings evolved from apes.

But if I ever meet one, I'll pass on your television analogy

OR we could look at how we first learned to harness electrical signals, and then figured out out to transmit and receive images through the electrical currents. Or how we were only able to send grainy black and white images and then we evolved into sending 16.7 Million colour High Definition images.
