Seattle will be without the two receivers who have accounted for nearly two-thirds of the passing offense this season as Bobby Engram and Darrell Jackson are not expected to play this week at St. Louis.

yeah hawks are in deep shit in WR. THat means Stevens our TE and both Joe Jurivious (sp?) and prob Peter warrick will be teh wrs prob. THis is a BIG BIG game for both teams but seattle has been OWWWWNED by RAMS. Trust me i'm a fan and I hate the rams. If seattle D can keep this in front of them and FREAKING stop people on third, I think the hawks have a chance to win.

As Chanman said, The stats are all in favour of The Rams, now Seattle have both starting receivers out. My concern would be people taking a knee jerk reaction to this news, as the books seem to have pre-emptied the news, and betting The Rams at -3 would not be smart.

Is Darrell Jackson out for Seattle for sure? This will be a huge loss for them. Luckily the Rams will not be able to stop the run anyways....and Stevens will probably catch a lot of balls out of play action passes. This game is scary.

Don, you have to stop looking at games like that. Even bad Defenses can look good if they can make the other team one dimensionable. Seattle's run game is only good because of the threat at WR.

Chanman,
I think Warrick is not the player he was or should have been and wont contribute much on Offense, Joe J is a good target when you have others being watched. As for the others, I havent a clue, I read that DJ Hackett was starting, can you give more of your opinions on the players involved.

DJ Hackett did very well in the preseason he's tall 6"2' but big issue is he's RAW! Last yr he was out for most of the season because of a hip injury but now he's the man. He runs routes pretty well. Speed is good and his hands are good (scary to say that for seattle WRS). Urban came out last yr and gave us the spark we need. YOu can say he's like another wayne cherbet but taller. He does get open but again.. catching can be an issue. THE BIG person that needs to step up is Stevens. Many have been callin him a bust but with that size man he should shine (6-7). He is looking beter this year and I told many he will be almost like a gates of last yr.

Warrick.. yeah.. damn dominate college.. blah in nfl

FYI huge blow but Djack got a second opinion and it seems he will need surgery and would be out 4 weeks or so.

KIRKLAND - The Seattle Seahawks' leading receiver has been advised to undergo knee surgery after a prominent orthopedist detected a torn lateral meniscus in addition to the previously diagnosed bone bruise, sources said Friday.
Jackson received the news Friday from Dr. John Uribe, a Miami-based orthopedist who has operated on numerous professional athletes. Jackson had sought a second opinion from Uribe as a precaution after an initial diagnosis suggested no damage beyond the bruised

winbet. I am not sure what you mean by that. I think that Seattle will have success running the ball this week....although the Rams know they are running it. My point was that they will still be o.k. running the ball and using the play action pass to hit Stevens and others. I am not sure they will be able to stop St. Louis, but I do not think this means that Seattle will not be able to run.

Seattle gets a big boost with pork chop coming back off injury. He def will be rusty but he's a huge asset back on the line. SA will GET his yards. Hey if seattle can run and use the clock to our advantage, be good things for seattle.

I don't think it's going to matter what receivers are playing for Seattle. Seattle will be competitive and then find a way to lose the game in the last quarter if not the last 2 minutes. Just like they did last week and many other weeks previously on the road. I do believe it will be a high scoring close game. If your going to bet this game buy down to -2 or -2' or even the ML if your taking St. Louis. Seattle on a 7pt teaser would be another option. It's same old same old until Seattle can play tough, focused football for 60 minutes on the road. It's called the "LUMP" (in the throat) trend.

WHO CARES IF THE SEAHAWKS LOST THEIR TWO RECEIVERS. THEY DIDN'T LIKE CATCHING THE BALL OVER THE MIDDLE ANYWAY. SEATTLE HAS ONE OF THE TOP RUNNING BACKS IN THE GAME. ALEXANDER WILL RUSH BIG TIME VS THAT POOR ST LOUIS DEFENSIVE LINE. THIS GAME MAY CHANGE THE OVER/UNDER 49.5 AT PRESENT. I SAY SCRAP THE OVER, AND TAKE THE UNDER. BOTH TEAMS MAY RUN THE BALL HERE. ISSAC BRUCE WR FOR STLOUIS ALSO OUT. SEATTLE HAS THE SLIGHT EDGE ON DEFENSE, AND THE BETTER HEAD COACH HOLMGREN. BUT TO BE HONEST WITH YOU, THESE ARE TWO UNDER ACHIEVING TEAMS, AND ANYTHING COULD HAPPEN.

STAY TUNED FOR THE WORM NFL PICKS FOR WEEK#5.
