Nevada got beat on the road by a poor La. Tech team but won big over 2 creampuffs at home. On Saturday they travel to San Diego St. Everyone knows how well SDSU did against Michigan last weekend. Can they continue their success against against a weaker Nevada team at home? How will they react to their loss against Michigan? Will they be down or will they have new-found confidence at home?

I am sorry for using the "R" word - and NOTHING EL

i want to know how SDSU will score enough to cover this one? i know nevada sucks on D - but until i can be sure SDSU can win by just over 2 TDs. SDSU also has UCLA up next week and we might get a sandwich situation here for SDSU. and as we saw last week, Nevada Coach Chris Ault KNOWS what the point spread is for the game and will do all he can to cover the number.

Not a good spot at all for SDSU after they spent as much spunk as they did versus Michigan. Check Nevada's offensive status (Kretschmer, Rowe?) to see if they can match well vs. good SDSU dee, excellent chance they will

Sdsu

They aren't in this spot often, but are 9-5 as a fav of 10-20 L14. Only once last year, a 34-0 winner over UTEP, they were 1805 favs. gl..

their bigtime back lynell hamilton may play...he was recruited heavily by michigan....a major league stud....if anybody gets any info on hamilton`s availability, please post it...thanks..

after seeing moats tear nevada a new one.....it would be nice if hamilton is available.....,and after seeing sdsu`s qb throw for almost 300 yards vs michigan, this might just be a different aztec ballclub.....throw in what is definitely a major league defense, and you`ve got a pretty solid little ballclub....might be a coming out party for this program...

i doubt that under any circumstances, nevada goes into ann arbor and plays michigan to a standstill..

this weekend will tell us alot....

as the guys previously stated,a post-michigan let-down...or the residual physical affects of playing a big10 bully may be evident..but, with unlv on deck, nevada`s focus may be a bit skewed...this is a non-conference game...

i got sd st at 13.5 and bought down to 13...

g.l. whatever you do....

damn...i lost alot of posts somewhere along the line....

Careful here with SDSU.....Nevada has done very well offensively since the poor showing in their opener and WILL put up points against the Aztecs. Nevada runs and passes the ball well as I see this one being pretty close and wouldn't be surprised at all to see the Wolfpack come out with the "W".....GL!!

I'm not sure Nevada is physical enough to stay in this with Aztecs. Interesting though that if my schedule is correct both teams may be looking ahead. Nevada has UNLV on deck and SDSU has UCLA.
Also note that Nevada struggled LW versus lowly Buffalo team at home.

Hey Winone...I'm not trying to be a smart ass, but couldn't help not to respond to your comment on the Buff/Nev game......How can you say Nevada struggled with them?? They had a 441 to 288 overall yardage advantage and they completely dominated the second half of that game. Buffalo loves to run the ball and they held them to 183 yds on 43 attempts which isn't too bad. I don't know...I just didn't see your point with them struggling....this is just too many points here to give. SDSU gave up 352 yards passing to Idaho St. and gave up 289 last week to Michigan. Yes, the rush defense was very tough, BUT they are very vulnerable to the pass where Nevada is a pretty balanced two dimensional team with running and passing. They will get some points through the air....guaranteed! I could be way off, but from what I'm seeing Nevada has a pretty good chance in this game....they sure better have a passing game because SDSU has been VERY TOUGH to run on.....

buffalo ran for 183..this game was 14-13 in the 3rd before nevada opened up....and moats went crazy on nevada.......now,we find out that sd st`s stud lynell hamilton will play and get at least 15 to 18 carries in this game....

nevada`s other win was vs sacramento st...

granted, san diego st beat idaho st 38-21...no big deal...but they were up 38-0 in the 3rd and threw in the scrubs...and hamilton hasn`t played yet...

i`m not trying be a smartass either....it`s possible that nevada has a better offense...but,with hamilton playing, that might not be the case....or at least even things up...

to me,the big difference here is the "d"`s....and maybe some home cooking...hopefully...

but,if you can grab a 14.5 or a 15,i wouldn`t question it...even if you fall behind, the backdoor might be open...

good arguments on both sides...

g.l.,whatever you guys do...

Sphincter,

Thanks, I could not have said it better.
Nevada scored 17 pts in the last 3:25 of the 4th LW against Buffalo. They had drives of 23yd and 22yd for TD that iced the game. Before that, they were life and death. And they did not drive the ball at all as they had TD passes of 41 & 51 yds. Buffalo won the time of possession LW 31min to 29min.

I did not think they would be able to accomplish the same feat against a higher caliber defense. Aztec performance LW against UM no fluke as they returned 8 starters and 18 of their top 20 on defense and LY defense was ranked 8th in total defense and 13th in scoring defense (17pt/gm).

And no one though you were being a smarta$$. When you are wagering money, you better ask questions. And yes HC Ault does know about the point spread as he proved LY in beating me in the last 3min.

On Tuesday, he re-tweaked his knee. He is gone for the year. Devin Pitts, a pretty good wide receiver, is also gonna be gone, along with Wesley Williams who has been down the first couple games. They also have other multiple injury concerns. They may just coast in this one vs. WolfPack, and prepare to be fresh vs. UCLA, then the conference schedule. Again, a bad spot for Aztecs.

well...that`s not encouraging news...to say the least...the last report i saw was that hamilton was goosed and ready to go....he was a factor in my liking sdsu at 13....

i just saw the article on the sdsu website.....

still.....i`m laying 13....i see 15`s out there....there`s a middle possibility.....

have to give this some consideration....

thanks,bubba....that`s what this place is all about....
