1) Both teams have nothing to play for.....but Cincy is in FRICKING HAWAII...

2) Do not underestimate the travel.....west coast teams going over the pacific ocean have a hard adjustment....from cincy that is gonna be HUGE...they flew in early to compensate for jetlag....but that isn't gonna be enough....they will be playing LATE by their internal clocks.

3) Teams are very similar....QB questions, settled down and are finishing the season strong....I don't see superior athletes either way.

4) Hawaii is not what their record shows....even though they have a 7-5 record, Alexander is 5-2 when he starts....1 of the losses was to Florida....who doesn't lose to them....(3-0 at Home)

5) I just seen Brian Kelly at the local strip bar getting hammered and Tony Pike was there badly sunburnt...looks like he spent 18 hours on the beach.

6) Although we have Big East officiating tomorrow, we all know the calls in Hawaii go to Hawaii...

because Hawaii has a tendancy to finish very weak....I think the best play here is Hawaii at the half +4.5

whats in bold is complete crap. Alexander is the best QB we have but has beaten no one worth mentioning. not saying hawaii is a bad play but they are not close to being the better team here. The only reason to bet Hawaii in this spot is if you are expecting cinci to treat this as a vacation and come out flat. Hawaii is going to come out and give 110% but that doesnt mean shit unless cinci gives 40%.

"Kelly & Pike was at the local strip bar" you're so full of shit why would you post something like that? Where rockza, femme nu, 939? Dont post shit like that to throw off others on here who dont know any better! UH sucks plain and simple, they sure have over achieved all year though I'll give you that. But dont make like Pike is sun burnt & has been partying all week with his coach. Thats ridiculous...We'll see what happens in the game tomorrow but cincy will show up and thats all they pretty much have to do to put a beat down on UH. Peace

None of these are from the east coast so its hard to make a comparison in terms of the jat lag impact. These are young guys I'm pretty sure the adrenalin will compensate for jet lag!

Wow, take it easy guys....I thought it was pretty obvious I was joking about the strip club and sunburn....lol, I guess for those of you emotionless robots I will disclaim that I have not seen these people and they are supposedly treating this game very seriously.

But as far as the teams being similar, I meant that when I said it. They are both teams that haven't completely abandoned the running game but are by far a pass first offfense. They have both had qb issues (which is HUGE for a pass-first offense). And they have both settled with what they believe is the best qb for the team this year. Pike I believe was not only the backup to start but he gave such a half-ass effort kelly needed to sit his ass down and talk to him. Alexander started spring training 4th on the depth chart and has proven himself to be hawaii's guy. Cincy has better athletes but the gap isn't as wide as the general public is led to believe. I give a huge coaching advantage to cincy but you guys are still underestimating the effects of travel to hawaii.

Hawaii's biggest weakness is run defense.....they get nice stops then give up a 25-yarder every 3 runs...lol....if cincy abandons their style of offense they may run away with it. I don't think they will turn into a run team and I honestly think this will be a one score game midway 4th qtr. I will not be shocked if hawaii wins this by 9-10 points but will take the points and put the majority of my cash on the half. May hedge at the half with cincy to try and middle the game wager.

Use my opinions how you like but for god's sake lighten up people.

My Dad's good pal is a Delta flight attendent who chartered with the Bearcats football team about a week ago. Jet lag won't matter, Cinci rolls over a significantly worse team.

Nothing to play for? get out of here.

When I say nothing to play for, I meant that Hawaii has already locked in their bowl affiliation for 2008. The outcome of this game will make no impact on postseason. Of course they would like to beat their second ranked team this year.

Cinci also will have the same BCS matchup regardless of how this pans out....I heard Kelly's motivation for the team is setting 2 goals: 1) To have the first 11-win season and 2) to finish the season ranked in the top 10.

I understand these kids are young and athletic and they flew into town a lot earlier than usual.....San Francisco to New York is about 2,500 miles (2,000 cincy to SF).....distance from Cincinnati to Hawaii is over 4,300 miles.....I cannot put into words how that takes a toll on a team.

Cincinnati is really good. They won the Big East. They're going to a BCS bowl. They have a great coach. Good WRs. Great defense...

But they are going down tonight!!!

Hawaii does have something to play for, beating a school that is going to a BCS bowl is pretty damn good for recruiting. I don't think that they locked up any recruits with their lackluster showing against Washington St. last week.

The pride that HI takes in playing these out of conference shchools fromt he mainland is unmeasureable. HI will be treating this game like it is their National Championship. While they may have played some big games in the last few years, they have not had such a highly ranked school, already securing a BCS game, come play in their home stadium. If Cinncinati wins, they will do it simply because they came to play and outplayed them.. With that said, if I was 19-21 years old, already won the Big East, and had a BCS game locked up, plus I have played 7 straight weeks...I am going to the islands to party my ass off. I could care less what my coach says!!!

That was my first thought but not really sure how the partying will effect the Bearcats. They may get shredded. My concern with the under is that the Bearcats defense won;t show up and HI will take a lead. Then the offense will begin to air it out to catch up.

Brian Kelly is supposedly really good at motivating their team
(for those that think they will party really hard.....hopefully they are in waikiki)

and Hawaii has played BCS schools this season....in fact, they played the national champion and lost pretty bad (but hung in there tied after the 1st quarter)

HI is not the same HI team that started the season.

100% agree

just pointing out that they have been in the situation before.....Boise and Florida are both BCS calibur teams that Hawaii has already played this year.

I totally forgot about Florida paying them a visit earlier this season. My memory is shot.

Any idea how their offensive TO ratio has been the second half of the year. I see they rank in the bottom 10 but I am pretty sure that is due to the first half of the season.
