3-0-1 for the playoffs
YTD: 16-11-2
Passing on the Saints/Seahawks game. Line is up to 10 now. Feel the Saints can hang around in this one but just can't bet against a strong home team. Pass.
New England -7
Not very creative but will try to stick to the thinking that if I reckon that the favourite can cover then lay the points. Can Indy win? Yes, but odds are very tough against them. Indy is a feisty team although a very poorly coached team. Not a big fan of Pagano as he tends to get out coached (Reid and KC injuries helped last week) every week. After weeks of trying to establish themselves as a running team the Colts finally gave up and realized let's use what we have, Andrew Luck. T-Rich and D-Brown are not what the Colts are. It's Andrew Luck. And for the moment he's only got help from TY and sometimes Coby. And these options might be fleeting with a decent Patriot defense. I'm not buying into the whole BB and TB have had two weeks to prepare for the Colts and they are at home and they have PO and SB experience...blah blah blah. NE's status as a post season powerhouse is not what it used to be. They have been mediocre at best in recent PO games both SU and ATS. Their record against this year's PO teams is not good, in fact the Colts have a better record against this year's PO teams (5-2). Sounds like we could make a case for either one of these teams. But in this instance, for this one game today I think NE finds success on offense with TB dinking and dunking passes down to his undervalued WRs. Lots of open holes for Brady. He's also a clock manager, methodically taking his team down the field. On the other side I think NE's defense can get to Luck and frustrate him. He took chances and threw ugly INTs last week. Luck is still young, still learning. Maybe a year or two away from being playoff ready? I'm going to roll the dice on NE and lay the TD. If I don't think the dog can win then I won't take the points either. I don't think we see a blow out, Indy could have a chance at a back door but I'm hoping the NFL and Goddell have had a nice long talk with the officiating crew and know what to do.
