4*Mariners Rangers Over 8.5 -110
Last night we cashed on the side with Seattle but today we switch gears to the total here. The Rangers come tonight with 6 straight Overs cashing. The Mariners bats seem to be waking up with 14 runs scored in their last three games. Jordan Lyles (3-2 O/U) has been bad for Texas with a 7.52 ERA, getting wrapped around for 17 ER in just 20 innings of work. For the Mariners the Overs are 3-1 in Justus Sheffield starts. Both bullpens are a trainwreck, Mariners (5.95 ERA) and Rangers (5.18 ERA) which will help push this Over 8.5.

Nobody wants to touch Baltimore right now since they've dropped six straight and everyone will be on Boston here at a perceived cheap number but us. Cobb is their best starter and gives Baltimore a great shot tonight. He's a groundball pitcher (3:50 GB:FB), a 1.14 WHIP. He's going to give us a solid 5 or 6 innings of work. The lefty Perez is 2-5 in his last seven starts vs Baltimore. The Orioles are hitting southpaws pretty good this year (.274) so they should get to him. Their bullpen is a little better than Boston too. If this game was a week ago the Orioles would be the short favorite here. Baltimore has value as the dog tonight and I'm on them.


4*Thunder+3 -110
It's do or die for the Thunder and They know they can't go down 0-3 here. The market will be all over Houston looking at a cheap number. Nobody expects the Thunder to be able to adjust and beat the Rockets after watching the first two games. I'm going to take the contrarian approach this evening and ride the Thunder plus the points here. The real problem for OKC has been the boards. They've struggled on the glass the first two games. If they keep Harden in check like Game 2 and rebound better they can win outright in a desperate spot here. The offense needs to come together as well. If the Thunder are going to show up at all this is the night.

Miley/Hyun KimBoth pitchers are getting older. Wade Miley has been knocked around, but the good news is the Cardinals are really bad at hitting left handers and Miley does have strikeout ability. Byung Hyun Kim tends to walk more batters and Cincinnati is a little better against left handed pitchers. At even money I will go against a team like St. Louis who is really poor when facing the left handed pitchers.
