Got back from out of town a few hours ago. Now that I've quit doing full games for the rest of the season, I am focusing more on these second half totals.

I didn't like anything in the first 5 games tonight and was on I-15 during the early game.....but I see BIG trouble brewing in Denver and there will likely be a play.

I wanted to open this thread early and get my record posted so that is out of the way, since there is limited time at halftime and I want to spend some time on this one before posting....and still post before the thrid quarter.

Sooooo......my record for 2nd half totals this season is...........:

YTD 67-57 (.540) and "Biggies" are 30-26 (.536)

And I hope to post a play in a little while that will put the "biggies" back ahead of the "regulars."

Well.....to be honest, when I made the above post (early in the second quarter), I saw a big fat biggie UNDER coming for the second half. But looking at the number, looking at the pace of the game.....and seeing that the refs are not letting things go (29 personal fouls in the first half), I am going to reverse my initial impression and call this a regular over. There are a few different ways this goes over vs only one way it goes under. It goes under if the pace slows down. It goes over if the pace stays hot -or- the refs keep blowing the whistle -or- the game gets close and we get foulfest and/or OT. Plus, the number isn't all that high. I'm ALMOST talking myself into a BIGGIE here, but not quite.

Hoping to make it 5 in a row with............:

Seattle 2H OVER 100.5 (regular)

Well.....sorry about the false "biggie" alarm on the Seattle game. Hopefully being objective and switching over to over will prove to be the right move. Looking for 26 points in the last 7:30 or so.

MEAN-while..........I see a BIGGIE brewing in Arizona. Just waiting for the number and will post as soon as I figure it out.

I like it Zapster. The teams were 4-25 from 3 pt range however and I wonder if that can continue?

Sonics/Nuggets OVER creeps in

Congrats Zapster. I can't believe we had to sweat out needing a 38 point fourth with margin with these up tempo teams to win with 50 seconds left.

When in doubt, i make a small play on the home team considering they have the lead. The total seems a bit low considering 99 scored in the first, but ill make on small play here. GO CLIPS.

Yeah....it does seem low......and the over is tempting.....but I'm on a streak and I am afraid to risk the streak on that one.

I'm the red round one on the far left...holding a balloon! The other two red round guys holding balloons are my genetic duplicates that were produced in lab yesterday, given a rush treatment of growth hormones that would make Barry Bonds envious, and then were taught to do one thing....really two things...hold a red balloon (color of the balloon doesn't seem to matter) and do that nifty jig just like I am doing on the far left.

This was all done in a rush fashion just so they could be ready to celebrate with me tonight when you won the BIGGIE and I won lots of money because of your BIGGIE. The 'rush' factor of our work is fairly evident if you take even a moment to try to engage them in any conversation at all. Very sad, really. Even worse, we're going to have to put them down later tonight. And when I say, 'Put them down...' I mean in the 'not going to bed' sort of way. If you like, in a couple of hours, you can have two red balloons. Let me know. AND THANKS AGAIN! tulsa

Tulsa..........

Sadly I can't accept the balloons as much as I would like to find them a good home. There are two reasons for this.........:

1) My dogs are already out of control and all I need is a couple of red balloons floating around in my living room.......it would no doubt lead to me comnig home from the Angel Game tomorrow and finding what's left of my furniture turned upside down from the inevitable fray.

2) Accepting balloons from you would make me no better than a tout.......and give license to the haters that lurk here to abuse me even worse than they already do. Sure......it's just a balloon, but you know what they say....:"Today's balloon is tomorrow's $500-super-parlay-guaranteed-winner-package."

So....thanks anyway.

Speaking of Bonds though.....and speaking of Angel Games.....I gotta tell ya this CLASSIC thing I saw on the way down the escalator on opening night last week. There was this HUGE guy.....who must have been wearing about 5 sets of shoulder pads under his jersey and maybe some other padding to make his chest look huge. The NAME on the back of his jersey was "Juiced" but the best part was the number which was 73* (it took me a minute to get the reference but it really cracked me up)

Anyway Tulsa....you continue to be my second favorite poster here and you are clearly the only one who can out-Zapster me !!!

On a much more mundane note......THANK YOU Mr. Sura for missing those two late free throws and giving me/us the lucky under. It looked really good until that buzzer 3 at the end of the third, but then it got pretty hairy.

And on an even mundaner note, I'm going to update the record now so I can just copy & paste it onto my next thread and not waste time calculating this essentially meaningless.....but very real....record. 2-0 tonight with the biggie win brings the record to..........:

YTD 69-57 (.548) and "Biggies" are 31-26 (.544)
That makes 6 straight wins.....hopefully it will keep going.
