Most of America does not care about this game, but it is still a big occasion down here, despite both teams sucking ass.

Both teams enter this game on a down note after getting clubbed like baby seals last week.Rumors abound about Tuberville's health and his future at Auburn. It will cost a few million to buy him out at this stage so expect him to last at least one more season.Alabama fans such as myself have no real expectations for this season or next.Or the next 5 or so seasons after that. That's what probation and a Mike Price ****fest will do to you.

Why Alabama will cover:
Despite some major injuries on offense,Alabama is still capable of making big plays.Shaud Williams leads the SEC in touchdowns and yards per game(rushing and receiving).Croyle has been injured, but he has a good arm and his main receivers(Fletcher,Luke, and Fulgham) should be able to get open against an average Auburn pass defense.Defensively,Alabama will count on Antwan Odom and Naughton McKay-Loescher to pressure Campbell into making mistakes which he is prone to do in important games.Yes,they must contain Cadillac, but they have the talent to so with their underrated linebacking corps(Demeco Ryans already has 106 tackles).Alabama yields a respectable 122 ypg on the ground. If the game comes down to kicking, all I can say is that Alabama's Bostick is a better kicker than Auburn's Yost.As for Shula's coaching,I think he just lets the coordinators run the show.He can't be that outclassed by a coach that called his best player's number twice in the first half.(Yes,Tuberville let Cadillac carry 2times in the first half last week).

Why Auburn will win:
1)Auburn has the home field edge and will play well for their beleaguered coach.
2)Auburn has the better defense(they yield 9 ppg less than Alabama).
3)Auburn's rushing game will eventually wear Alabama's depthless defensive line down.
4)Shula really is a moron.

For you trend players,Auburn has never covered as a 7 1/2-10 point home favorite in this series(0-6ATS).Alabama is 4-1 ATS in Auburn since the series moved there in 1992.

Prediction:No reason to buck the history of this series. This should be a hard fought, low scoring contest.Auburn has been the better team, but Alabama is easily capable of springing the upset.

3 1/2*Alabama +8
1*Under

Other plays for saturday:
3*South Carolina-Holtz is the better coach and South Carolina has played a tougher schedule.

3*Missouri-Missouri's Brad Smith will make enough plays to stay within the number.KSU might have a slight letdown after last week's breakthrough at Lincoln.

4*South Florida-UAB will not generate enough points with backup QB and have nothing to play for.

2*USC-They will make a statement about the
B...(c)S....

2*Memphis-Ride the team on the upswing.Cincy's offense has been less than splendid this year.

I heard that it doesn't matter if Tuberville wins, he is already gone and so are atleast 4 assistants. This was from an Alabama fan so take it for what it is worth.

Tubs buyout clause might save his ass, but his O-coordinators are definitely getting the pink slip with or without Tubs permission.. Chizik the defensive coordinator is looking at the head coaching position at UCF and has noted his interest. Looks like a long off-season for the AD.
