SCRAPPY T will appreciate a course that is not completely dry and likely favoring some speed, gets Dominguez in the irons here and he knows this course very well. The Kentucky Derby did not offer a great pace nor did any of the entrants turn out any remarkable efforts leaving this one wide open for a fresh new face with the ability to rate. HIGH LIMIT got jostled early in the Derby and was never a factor but will likely find himself out near the lead early here, not so sure he can hold it with pressure so figure he will be around late but may very well be out of gas by then. CLOSING ARGUMENT has had difficult starts in each of his last two outings which has left him short late having to go W-I-D-E and end up a little flat, pace here would suggest that this colt will be asked to go to the outside again and try to close down a much shorter stretch than at Churchill. AFLEET ALEX could have arguably run one of the best efforts two weeks ago will find himself having to settle for a pace that is likely a little faster than ideal for him here, distance is not the issue so much as the post and the trip he gets.

.......nice write up Smooth, gl tomorrow !!! I'm gonna stick w/ NOBLE CAUSEWAY, as I don't believe his Derby was represenative of his true ability ........horses that came from off any decent pace today fared pretty well at PIM today and I can see him getting a similar set-up as EDDINGTON did today, but at 9-1 or thereabouts . Don' really like the race too much and almost passed , but if he is anywhere north of 7-1 , I'm on him WPS ......prolly play a pick 4 and use a few in that race !!! Let's cash 'em up tomorrow !!!
