1 UNIT =$100
Well this will be for 100 UNITS or $10,000
I love this game & this "spot" more than any game I've seen in a Long...Long Time!
I like it so much that I'm even going to play this Big Road Dog on The $-LINE too!

OK...For The Game & The Pick!

S. CAROLINA +17 vs TENNESSEE @ Knoxville

First off I want to say this line is inflated due to The Vols big Win vs Florida in The Swamp this past weekend!
Ok, that upset win in itself sets The Vols up for a Big Letdown! Yes SC is Undermanned & will be playing in a very hostile environment, but Holtz will have this Gamecock team ready. The Value in this game clearly is with The Cocks due to quite a few reasons. First off, The Vols are very Overrated. Yes they beat Florida in The Swamp, but The Gators have not been the same team since Spurrier skipped town. The Vols also have Auburn--GA--BAMA on deck. The COCKS just beat lowly UAB in a "tune-up" Game! And another plus is The GameCocks have a Bye after this Tennessee game. Lou's D has been great vs The Vol's Offense....holding The Vols to 17-17-24 the past 3 years! Plus the visitor in this series is 5-1 vs the spread the past 6 years! The Vols are 2-11 as Double Digit favorites after a straight up underdog
win. But I feel like the key to this game will be my Hometown Hero from Lexington, SC....Freshman RB Demetris Summers ....He is the real deal! He had 161 Yards and 3 TDS in the 1st half vs UAB last week in the only game he has had any real playing time! This guy is, well..."THE SHIT!" People always talked about UHHH..what's his name Clarett from Ohio St...HA..tune in to ESPN @ 7:45PM Saturday night and watch what Summers can due! Summers tied Emmitt Smith National High School Record for 100 yard games back at Lexington High School, just last year! I happen to know Demetris personally. I've played some pick-up basketball with him a few times on Sunday afternoons. I haven't seen him since the season started, but this kid has his head on straight & you will see him on The Heisman Ballot if he hangs around CFB long enough. You will see him on Sundays that's for sure!
Look for a very close game Saturday
Due to all of the above factors..but mainly....
--A TENNESSEE LETDOWN!
--GOOD SC DEFENSE!
--AND DEMETRIS SUMMERS!

I'll be back with more later in the week. Your input is greatly appreciated aswell.

---I do Live in Lexington, SC about 15 minutes from The University of SC, but I went to Clemson...The Cocks in-state rival..so I'm Clemson Alumni & season ticket holder..so this play ..IS NOT WITH MY HEART---

I agree totally. Question is, where do you find them at +17? I can't find them any higher than 16.

I absolutely LOVE this play as well, as mentioned in a couple of threads earlier in the week. Also in our favor here.......

Dogs bark in the long run on ALL Prime Time games. Nothing like riding with the bookmaker on a nationally televised Prime Time contest.

Best of Luck to us my friend

people talk alot about "the letdown"

complete shit, i would not lay 10 dimes
and have to mention a "letdown"

if you like it without the "letdown" factor,
then bet it...

could be a very very tough wager....

Rx-Maniac,
I sincerely hope you cash on your "biggest play of the year . . ." But, is it really your biggest play? Didn't you have a 200 unit play in baseball?

You can obviously do what you want to do, but consider putting credibility on the check list. Your write up has some value, but the way you toss around units is misleading and I am not sure what you are trying to accomplish.

More importantly, I think the moderators are doing a disservice to the casual readers of these forums by chiming in with endorsing comments when the entire premise underlying the poster's approach is suspect. Seriously, how could this be a "great write up" given this poster's history with units and his demonstrable lack of understanding regarding any approach to bank roll management as evidenced by his prior posts?

It is the man's money & this goes for anyone. No one forces someone to play someone's selections. It all falls on the shoulders of the person who wagered. If they piggybacked someone based on units on a play & it losses, they only have themself to blame. If you need to piggyback to begin with maybe you shouldn't be gambling. The whiners & scammers are the major disservice to this site.

Fair enough. Fortunately, I never have had to piggyback on plays. My point is this: good information is becoming an increasingly rare commodity on this site. One reads a post with some interesting points that receives the imprimatur of a moderator, and concludes there might be a nugget of useful information. A quick name search reveals a fundamental credibility problem with the entire analysis. I certainly agree: buyer beware, but the moderators should not make the shopping more difficult.

Niatross, you said it better than anyone else.

Rx you are a tool playing with monopoly dollars and EVERYONE should know that. You don't have 10k in the bank to even think about betting that much..if you did, you wouldn't be wasting your time telling everyone about your 200 unit specials of the week and BIGGEST play of lifetime bets on the board. Get a life, go shack up with Anthony Richkas, you two make a great couple.

And GO VOLS!!!

Oh yeah, I'm wagering $10,000 on this play...and no it's not monopoly $$$!
I have EXTRA CA$H...that's why I gamble...that's why I have accounts at 4 different books. People who don't have extra $$$ shouldn't wager big..NO...but I have it to lose & it's my MONEY.
All, I was trying to do was help the board by posting my thoughts and info on a local team, but I get Bashed. Yes, I'll admit...I've lost my ASS gambling on many different sports over the last couple of years, but I have had luck at other things...My Job, My Business, and I've also Hit a $100,000 ticket playing The Carolina 5 on The Lottery....so I do have $$$ to burn! But I don't have to explain any of that to New Posters who don't even have enough post to account for anything!
--And Talk About Credibility--
Look, NASDAQ..you have 90 Posts!
Look, NIATROSS...you have 71 Posts!
And ^^^^^^^^ you are going to BASH me...someone who has been here for 2 Years...and has well over 2000 Posts!
Dante, thanks for the comment you made...it was appreciated! And Mudman, Micmanus, EveryGamblersDream, and NY Reb thanks alot guys. I see that the Regulars do appreciate good input!

I'll be back later to post more info!

Thanks....Rx-Maniac

Excellent points, niatross. I think many infrequent, small-time gamblers on this site get burned by bravado comments by gamblers who have had poor past records and unsound money-management. Its the same as chasing touts as many here do.

At least Rx is honest when he says, "Yes, I'll admit...I've lost my ASS gambling on many different sports over the last couple of years,..." But you wouldn't know that if you had joined the site in the past several months.

The best course of action would have been to fade all of Rx's plays over the past couple of years. Then many of us would have money to burn.

niatross, this site needs more people with a conscience to politely and rationally point out the folly of lock bets, ridiculously large wagers, and following touts and others in general. You'll get yelled at, but dont let it bother you. Keep up the good work.

Rx - to specifically address your play on SoCarolina - I'm glad you found a play you feel strongly about. Now find 4 more strong plays, bet a reasonable amount on each game, and hope to hit 3 of 5, because that's more than anybody can hope to achieve over the long run betting on college football where there are literally thousands of factors besides a letdown to consider when capping a game.

But sometimes handicapping the letdown is all that matters. Case in point: Ole Miss over LSU in '97.

Good luck, RX; I like other games better, but I think you are on the right side here.

"The Vols are 2-11 as Double Digit favorites after a straight up underdog", That trend is worthless but if you like the trend game how about this one ,this also blowsup the myth that holtz is a great underdog coach. SC as an underdog of 4 points or more is 0-7-1 ATS.
