listen to all these people booing and heckling her at an emergency stop at Walmart....The most hated woman in America...

Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin stepped off the “Straight Talk Express” bus to enter the store around 1:30 p.m., where she purchased a bag of Parents’ Choice brand disposable diapers and a toy.

It would be a wonderful day in America if we could have regular people in our elected government again. I'm not saying Palin necessarily, but 3/4 of our Congress is made up of lawyers. That's just a recipe for disaster. In general, doctors like Ron Paul, fishermen like Palin would make America a better place.

Funny , you say that.

Not that e-how is some super credible source but it's funny on their 'how to become president' that for the first two steps they have :

1. Be at least 35 years old and a citizen born in the United States, Guam, Puerto Rico or the U.S. Virgin Islands (or to American parents abroad). You also need to have been a U.S. resident for at least 14 years

2. Hold a law degree. Out of 43 presidents, 25 have been lawyers. It also helps to have government service on your re'sume'-- 17 governors, 15 senators and 19 members of the House of Representatives have become president.

I don't knock lawyers. In fact they have some of the brightest minds collectively. I'm saying there is a conflict of interest when those who make/write the laws of our country also make their living deciphering those same laws for the rest of us. Example, the attorney general of Texas - Dan Morales engineered the state tobacco settlement (in the billions) with a few law firms in Texas. Where do you think he went to work after leaving office? You guessed it. One of those firms.

But a former doctor turned senator could easily work on legislation to limit medical malpractice claims and then return to private practice.

The problem most of america has with lawyers is that they take on some bad cases. But what they don't understand is that every defendant has a right to counsel. So even the worst terrorist will be represented by an attorney. Then people curse the attorney that successfully got off an accused rapist, murderer, terrorist etc..

Attorneys are just like everyone else, they just chose a more high profile and controversial profession.

In fact, some of the biggest jerks i know are arrogant doctors.

So you think it makes sense for our country to have 30% of the members of Congress be attorneys?

Rob is upset because she didn't burn the American flag while she was there.

I am not sure there could be a quota. If lawyers get independently elected in their respective states, we have to live with it whether we like it or not.

Not sure if people want to vote in their local garbage man to represent them in the senate.

I think it would be great to have a lot of blue collar workers elected.

Well of course she'd be. Come Nov 5th, she'll relocate to Hollywood, show up on TMZ, and make the rounds of reality television looking for work.
