Playing mostly long shots so I only need to hit 2 or 3 for a profitable afternoon. Excited about a few of these races - should be an entertaining day.
By the way, tip o' the cap to Flightline. Holy crap, what an amazing run!

R1 - #3 Nobilis (6-1) I spent way too much time trying to find a winner in this race. Finally settled here for no other reason than I couldn't find anything that caused me to chuck him. Good day to show up late.
R2 - #5 Cold As Hell (10-1) I'm going to try and beat Happy Farm here. CAH ran well under Saez in last try and has thrown down a bullet since. Blinkers come off for him as well.
R3 - #7 Charge Account (3-1) An angle I always look for is four straight races with improving Beyers. Morley had this one on a steady improve before getting claimed - now makes first start for Maker. No drop off there. Also gets Irad today, who appears to be going on one of his patented hot streaks.
R4 - #7 Willie Mc (12-1) Stepping up in class after the romp at Monmouth, maybe that gave him a boost of confidence? I'm not enamored with anything other than the chalk, so I'm going to take a shot in the hopes of seeing this former Evangeline Downs runner win at The Spa.
R5 - #1 Golquist (7-2) nearly won at 42-1 in debut at Saratoga going a mile, now turns back to 5.5f, which I think is the perfect move. Weaver hits at 20% going route to sprint, and this guy is a $310k purchase - maybe we haven't seen his ceiling yet?
R6 - #5 Stunningly (8-1) got shellacked in debut at Churchill after being hammered at the windows, but to be fair, the first two finishers have each come back to win again. She's had 6 works here since arriving including a 47.2 buried back on July 31st. I really love this filly here at anything over 5-1.
R7- #7 Prouver (8-1) Sire (Justify) hits at 23% with firsters on grass. Add the fact DeVaux is money with young turf horses and you have a diamond in the rough here. Enough to lure Saez = enough to lure me.
R8 - #2 Mystic Eyes (10-1) The two favorites look like bounce candidates after each running career bests last time out. I usually look for a double digit shot in races like this. Landed here as Pletcher finally makes the move to dirt with his stakes-winning turf filly. The man knows a hell of a lot more about horses than I ever will - maybe he has a trick up his sleeve here?
R9 - #10 Citizen K (10-1) He lost the lead late in his first try going long at same level earlier in the meet. I expect improvement in second try.
R10 - #6 Jocosity (4-1) Making third career start and stretching out to what should be a better distance for her at 1 1/8. Blew it as the favorite in last try at a mile. She seems to have a good mix of early and late speed - maybe she'll take control of the pace today and force the rest come and get her?
R11 - #8 Aunt Shirley (5-1) What a race this should be! I'm on the daughter of Justify (big surprise) after watching Irad jump off Grade 3 winner Just Cindy (another Justify daughter) to ride this one for Brisset. He had multiple options in this race - seems interesting he chose Shirley.
R12 - #4 Lemme Get It (10-1) Gets a nice jockey upgrade while switching surfaces, dropping in class, and running with second time Lasix. Enough to like at double digits.

Good luck today!

It takes a special kind of talent to spend 2+ hours handicapping a card and select ZERO winners. I guess there's a reason horses get a morning line of 10-1. It's because they're not very good at racing.
