Yeah, I think a lot have done things like that and many would do it if faced with it.....in every state in America.
Agree 100%....Someone I know was working Thursday and happened to pull into a diner parking lot...A old man was walking out and the person I know started a conversation with him..The man was using a walker of sorts, looked like 2 crutches...The person fished him for all kinds of info and found out that he fought in the battle of the bulge(then noticed the guys well worn out hat indeed said "battle of the bulge") He was 91 years old and his wife died 20 years ago and the only child they ever had died at birth...His sister lives about 40 miles away and is 88 with dementia,so he drives to see her every once in awhile...His right eye was swollen shut, because of some eyelid thing,so that someone is concerned about him driving and he said he takes 21 pills a day prescribed,he owns his house out in the middle of no where and his neighbors kids busted out his window and their parents are pieces of shit and would not replace it...The guy also shared a common employment in his younger years...My friend had to move his vehicle when someone else pulled up and also felt bad for the 91 year old standing on those 2 crutches for the long conversation,so he told him he had to go and said goodbye...My friend will go into diner next Thursday and speak to owner and give them his credit card # and tell them every time he is in there his meal is comped, without explanation...He eats there daily and it was about 3 in the afternoon so it is probably his meal before he goes to bed....It's the right thing to do....
