Some games I'm interested in and initial thoughts..
Knicks @ Wizards
Like the Wiz to get off the donut in the win column tonight. A porous Knicks defense is just what they need to see on their home court to get their first win of the season. I love backing home teams on Friday nights. Crowds are bigger, they're drunker and louder and offer up much more of a home court advantage. We still don't have a huge sample of games to work but I have a feeling this Knicks team is gonna be a lot worse on the road than at home.
Minnesota @ Sacramento
Liked Sacramento the other night at home to get their first win and cover and like them again here. These teams played a close game to start the season and Minn won by 2. Sacto won the rebounding battle but had some bad turnovers and a unusual 5 for 19 night out of K Mart. A much more comfortable team at home I think the Queens can cover this bad boy.
Dallas @ Denver
I don't get this line frankly. Denver should be laying upwards of 4-5 imo. I actually would probably like it better if Chauncey wasn't playing. There would most certainly be some hiccups in the offense if he played tonight. Denver plays well at home and should get their first home win here tonight. Gonna be a tough game to gauge if Chauncey plays but I'd lay the one without him tonight. Gotta see what his status is..
Memphis @ Golden State
What a shitfest the Warriors displayed last week in Memphis. They shot 34% and 15% from the arc. I have to believe they want to rectify that pathetic performance with running the Grizz out of the gym tonight. Memphis is turning a lot of heads early in the season and have been getting more love than usual. I'm not buying it yet. I think they get steamrolled tonight..
Houston @ LAC
What a demoralizing loss last night for Houston. Amazing game but a kick in the junk from their perspective. Go to overtime lose it once, come back and go up by one and then get the dagger in their heart from Roy. That can't be easy to recover from. Luckily for them, they get the hapless Clippers. The Clips have seemed to play every game close or ahead at halftime and then they get completely demolished in the second half. At least 4 of their games already have turned out this way but with the way Houston lost last night and the brutal overtime game I'm not sure they'll have enough in the tank around the 4th quarter tonight. Like the Clips to actually hang on tonight..
Just some initial thoughts before getting a little deeper. Drop something if ya got it. Good Luck Everyone..
