Hey, don't write off my Eagles yet. There is still the small chance that this team just implodes this season. They could end up 1-4 real soon. Then those vets coming up on free agency (Vincent, Taylor, Emmons, Staley) may just not play hurt all the time.
This is a classic example of a team drafting poorly and not really replacing some players. i.e. Coach and GM Andy Reid thinking he was much smarter than he really is (so far).
May vent more another day.

I don't agree - I think the Chargers are going to be out-muscled by every other bad team seeking to be Number 2, and so will inherit Number 1 like the meek will inherit the Earth. They stink.

Let's get the D healthy and Donovan's head back on straight first. Even with all the problems at least he hasn't pulled a Rich Gannon (he's too much of a nice guy for that!).

Raiders should be on that list, they are a lucky interception against the Bungles away from being 0-3. They look like age has finally caught up with them.

The Bengals arent the worst team in the NFL. Look at the overall O and D rankings, the bengals are going to get some wins. They basically beat Oakland but a horrid reffing job(Raiders fumbled on thier only TD drive, but blown dead) Then the INT. Cincy will beat Cleveland this week.

I think the Bengals will surprise people before the season is over. Yeah, they suck-but if you look at Zona and San Diego, it's tough to put them in the top two.

I think San Diego was the #1 pick in the Hilton contest when they played the Bronco's...I was speechless.

I agree Matt. It's easy to look at 0-3 and then the name Cincinnati beside of it and say "Same old Bengals". They're on the right track and you can look for them to improve vastly.

Cincinnati is far from the worst team in football. I wouldn't even have them in the top 10 of worst teams. They look vastly improved & will continue along that track with Lewis at the controls. This is a team that will eventually win & understand the attitude of winning. I've been very impressed with their last 2 games especially against Oakland where they dominated them.

Dante, if the Bengals are the worst, where do you put the Steelers? I don't know if you watched it or not, but it was not a very decisive victory for the Steelers. Looking back, if the Steelers don't make that tipped INT in the 1st half, Bengals probably win. Dillon got injured also. But the key play was when the Bengals punted and the Steelers were offsides(you know what im talking about) I have never seen offides like that not get called. Instead of 1st and 10 at the 35 for the bengals, the steelers get it at the 20 on the touchback. The phantom punt return interference call also. The Bengals have gotten no love from the refs the last 2 games, thats for sure.

But until they win a few they have to still be considered the worst team...The Chargers have to be close to the bottom, and I`m sure Arizona winning against Green Bay was an abberation! Time will tell if Marvin Lewis can make it as the head man...San Diego has some very talented players, the defense looks lost without Seau in the middle, was he that good?

Are the Detroit Lions not still in the NFL?
If they are not in your worst five, give it a week or two. They will arrive.

Detroit will arrive I`m sure!

I think Cincy will emerge from the ashes , but until they get a win or two they sit at the bottom! My rankings are based on WINS and the Bengals still have none!

If I had to forecast which teams will end up at the bottom my list would be a little different...

Chicago Arizona Detroit NY Jets and San Diego... Cincy has to Win to give back their perrenial doormat crown!

fair enough jman. The bengals should get that win this week as long as Dillon can stay in. If he is healthy, he will run all over the Browns, but if not we could be looking at another loss. But I am standing by my prediction at the start of the season taht the Browns woould be horrid, I posted it on some thread on here. They will bring up the rear in the AFC North

Whats forgotten about the Bengals, they were once a very competetive team for many years...Not to mention the Super Bowl appearances...they just have that stigma that associates them with losing (they earned it)

I watched the Steelers game and Cincy had many chances to get control of the game...the game was anyones for the taking for the whole first half....But in the end Kitna was awful and the defense wore down and couldn`t stop the run....

Matt how about when Lewis called for the punt on 4th and 3 from the 34??? He should have went for the first down, and of course the punter kicks it in the endzone!

Most of those teams are bad. It is early and at least one of them will semi turn it around and make a playoff run. It is the NFL and on any given 'Sunday". I am a primarily dog player and win I win the books win. So hopefully by the end of the season I will be back in BLACK.

Lewis actually did that twice with 50 yard FGs, i guess they were against the wind somewhat. We have by far the worst punter in the league, so I dont know waht he was thinking. Should have tried the FG or went for it, we have been good in those getting 3 and 4 yard situations. Warrick gets open underneath a lot for short first downs.
The worst was when we punted and the steelers were offsides and it wasnt called. did you see that?
