As mentioned in an early thread, if Shrink or Irish can somehow get an all RX Hold Em Table at a Casino in Vegas we can hold a tourney. If you are interested please post in this thread and when we have an idea on how many we can discuss stakes. 3/6 5/10 whatever..

Great idea...I'm sure an online cardroom could set up a texas hold'em championship tournament for RX posters. I would certainly participate.

Yeah Tekari that is the plan, to bad Lupo isn't at Stardust anymore cause he would have set it up for us no questions asked.

But I would think that some place would do it as they still get a commission off each hand. If Shrink gets to Vegas early maybe he can set something up.

They don't Tekari but right across the street there is one. I mean it's VERY close to where we are. Probably can do something there.

Is anyone going to be watching the travel channel tonight to see the World Poker Tour championship?

Count me in, too, if the stakes aren't too high. Another thought is to set the game up in a private room and avoid the house rake.

I agree with most that low stakes are fine, I would think that aside from the money the Prestige of being crowned the 1st ever RX TEXAS HOLD EM CHAMP and the bragging rights that comes with it are priceless.

Tekari,

I think the Horseshoe is the place across the street. They have many poker tables. World series of poker takes place there every year. Unless they hire a dealer to work on tips and have it in a hotel suite. I hope i can make it there. I'll play.

Sorry Tekari I didn't see your question. Tex is right, I was talking about Binion's. Was there in January and even during the SuperBowl time the poker room wasn't half full. Their sportsbook is right there as well so easy to make some bets if you want as well. Pretty nice people over there so I would imagine they would help us out and give us a private table if we asked.

I am looking forward to this trip. I have to get in the Hilton anyway so this kills two birds with one stone.

Irish- Station Casino's also runs a football tournament. Entry fee $1,000, 200 people, first prize $100,000. Competition is stiffer at the Hilton.

Do you have to be present every week to participate inthose football contests or just when you register. If you don't then how do you enter every week.

Binion's would almost certainly spread private games for an organized cause, they would just charge standard rake for typical games or arrange an hourly fee and they will provide everything. They handle the RGP trip out to Vegas each year and with that comes some extremely strange games with things like 3 flops or a bunch of other games I couldn't remember. Its all done in good fun with limits like 1-2 with lots of action, but the players tip the dealers a ton so everyone is happy.

You get a "mule" to put your picks in every week for you. In the Hilton contest you must drop them off every week, you or a designated representative. You can't just mail them in or anything. I go to Vegas in August and my mule takes me over and we fill out the papers and he takes care of the rest. If you have a trusted friend out there than you can have them do it for you, I pay this guy to do mine as he handles several people and it is his business. I just want to be safe.

If you need one let me know I can send you his name.
