Ok, My round 1 series posted went 0-3 -7.34 and the other series I liked and did not play went 3-0, oh well. Really can't belevie the Flames played that poorly, I mean Anaheim is a good team but...

Round 2 Series:

Buffalo +185 (1.5)
Canes +168 (1.5)

Have not decided about the Oilers, I like how they match up and think SJ may be a little over rated here at this price...

Colorado/Anaheim don't have a good grasp so I will pass...

Do you remember in the early NFL 80's when, in order to basically beat the San Francisco 49'ers, you had to outscore Joe Montana? Well in comparison to that point, the Buffalo Sabres, in order to beat the Ottawa Senators, will have to outscore them and I really don't think they'll be able to do it in a best of 7 game series---but good luck anyway!

Randolph thank you for your input. I disagree as Ottawa is not playing the way they did the first half of the year. They are not as strong as people think they are and with Hasek out Buffalo and Ottawa are a coin flip to me...

That ishow I see these two teams right now...

Friday: 1-0 +3.46

Round 1: 19-15 +13.63 sides/totals/series

Round 2: 1-0 +3.46

Looking at today's game and to me it will be Carolina or no bet...This line is fishy and I see that everybody posting and that I talk to loves the Devils and they will kill the Canes... I think not...

Anaheim was a little under rated by me. They remind me somewhat of the Flames 2 years ago... Avs are over rated because they took Dallas out but the only reason they won is Marty Turco...I don't see Colorado beating the Ducks...

Sat :

Carolina +100 (1)

Under 5.5 is a very strong play also. I think this series will be a grind it out type series...

It will come down to Cam Ward can he stay focused and calm...His team will give him a chance to win these games it will be up to him...

Sunday Plays:

Oilers +170 (1)

Oilers series +175 (1)

Ducks -146 (1)

I see people on the over in the Avs/Ducks game. I would lean to the under as Colorado should put a better effort in today's game. Am expecting a Ducks 3-1 win something along those lines today...

Taking Oilers as I think they matchup with SJ very well... I think they have the better goalie... SJ is a 1 line team as Thornton and his line won't do much 5 on 5, the only time Thornton and Cheechoo are going to be effective in the playoffs is on the PP otherwise I don't expect much from them...Marleau's line has been carrying this team and will continue to have to if they plan on winning... If I need to get out of the bet for the series will be on SJ in Edmonton...

I did not bet the Ducks/Avs series but I think I will make more $$$ game by game... I will most likely be betting Anaheim in Colorado... I will know more after watching today's game.....

Late getting in...

Lean to Ottawa winning tonight but not at that price...Buffalo or no play, Ottawa should win but not getting my money tonight at this price...

Still Canes tonight, expect NJ to play better but will it be enough???
Lean to under but juice is to high for my liking....

Edmonton lost by 1 last night and think they will come out harder, like I said they need to stop Marleau if they want to win this series....

Monday Plays:

Canes -101 (1.5)

Oilers +160 (1)

Sabres +200 (.5)

They will have to come out a lot harder to win this series against the Sharks, like I said San Jose is faster, bigger and the better team, last nights score was flattering for the Oilers, they were dominated in every aspect of the game.Thornton and his line toyed with Peca and his line and if they are to busy trying to stop the Sharks top 2 lines how are they going to score?
They can come out as hard as they want. it won't matter , when it comes right down to it the Sharks are the better team.

Looks like you hit it on the button in the Buffalo/Ottawa series so far congrats on that.

OK, recap for Sunday and Monday:

Sunday 1-1 0.0

Monday 2-1 +1.5 units

Round 2 5-2 +5.96 units

Not a bad start to round 2... If I had played my totals also I would be off to a great start as I have been right on since the end of round 1 with totals...
I usually don't play alot of totals expecially in round 1, this year I did for some reason...

Series not looking bad so far in round 2 with both Buffalo and Carolina up 2-0 and Edmonton down 0-2...

I will be on the Ducks Tuesday...May have to try and get out of the Edmonton series bet as game 3 will tell the story...

Mariners Fan please read what I wrote about the SJ/Edm. series...My analysis is right on 5 on 5 Sj is a one line team. Thornton and Cheechoo will only be effective on the PP... I am sorry two 1 goal wins does not look dominant to me like you are talking...Will see what happens game 3 in Edmonton...

Sj is really not a better team than Edmonton, they may have more bigger names but that is about it...

What have the Oilers done 5 on 5 Hawk? Even less then the Sharks. The Sharks roll 4 lines the Oilers 3 , the Sharks have completely controled the tempo of both games and carried the play in both games as evidenced by how they have out shot the Oilers in both games. Most playoff games/series are won on special teams Hawks, so saying the Thornton line will only be effective on the PP is not bad, but so far inacurate, they may not have any points 5 on 5 but your don't have to score to be effective, there puck possesion 5 on 5 is dominant and when you are controling the puck the other team can not score either.

The Sharks have out hit,out hustled and out played them in both games, what more can they do? Both 2-1 scores were flattering to the Oilers, they were only 2-1 because of there goalie. Your down 2-1 going into the 3rd period and you get out shot 14-8? How is that not dominant? All the play in the third period except in the final 2 minutes was in the Oilers zone with SJ controlling the puck, the best player on the Oilers last night other then the goalie was third line player Moreau. And even in the final 2 minutes they had only one decent chance, the Sharks kept everything to the outside or deep to the point in front of them, there were no lanes for the Oilers D-Men to get a shot through.

The Oilers are 0 and 7 when they lose the 1st 2 games of a series, they have never comeback to win and won't in this one either, I would get of your Oilers bet and get some of your money back like I am thinking of doing in the Ottawa series , which by the way you were correct on, to bad i didn't listen to you on that one the value was sweet and I blew that one, congrats to you on it Hawk.

T Hawk - you have been lights out on your playoff analysis, just outstanding, but this is the one series where you may be not be seeing it the right way. A combination of many factors here has given the Sharks a slight edge. 1) emotional letdown for the Oilers after the Wings series 2) San Jose comes in the playoffs as one of the 2 hottest teams (Devils) 3) Sharks much more physical which can wear a team down, especially after the opposing team had a tough series prior 4) San Jose at home is a tough out.

MarinersFan and Atlantic10 I thank you both for adding your thoughts in my thread as I enjoy talking hockey and like to see other people's points and way of looking at things..So please feel free to post any comment good or bad it can only help all of us...

I may have overlooked a couple of things in this series the more I look at it...To me the most glaring one is Edmonton has very little playoff experience or for that matter real NHL experience... Most of their regular lineup has only played full time in the NHL for 2 years or less...

We shall see in game 3 what will happen...I am not going to bet game 3... I will not be able to watch it either...That is the other thing I have not been able to watch this series either so that hurts me...If SJ wins game 3 then I will bet them accordingly to get back some of the money I lost on Edmonton...

I can watch the games and tell if adjustments can be made or if they are just having a bad game...In the Dallas/Colorado series Dallas would have won that series if they did not have Turco...Dallas actually out played Colorado but Turco was the difference...

For example in the Anaheim/Colorado I was not sure so I did not play a series play but I watched both games and can say that no matter what Colorado does they will not have a chance to win the series...

I play a little differently than most people when it comes to NHL playoffs...I break it down into series and try to be positive in each series and I have worked out how I bet accordingly. Sometimes I will stray or I can make adjustments very quickly after watching the teams play...If you watch me enough you can probably figure out most of my bets...

For the most part in the first 2 rounds dogs are there, after the 2nd round is when you have to really look more closely as the stronger teams start to shine and of course you have to lay money instead of take...

I see to many people think you can play the dogs and you will do well, when that is just not true...

MarinersFan no way was I angry at anything you or A10 posted. I know nothing was directed at myself, just a difference in how we saw a series.. I will never get angry or upset if someone posts their opinions on a game, team, etc...

If they attack me then that is different...

The series are not over yet... Winning the 3rd game will not be easy for any team with a 2-0 advantage...The team down will fight tooth and nail...

I fully expect everybody to be on NJ and Colorado for game 3 because they are home and I don't think people have jumped off the Ottawa bandwagon yet...

Thanks for postinga and for your support, Keep adding your thoughts I enjoy it...

Tuesday's plays:

Ducks +130 (0.5)

No opinion on the total at all, can't get a feel for it this game....

I like Anaheim but I want to see what happens tonight...Game 3's are tough especially when the team coming home has lost the first 2 on the road...

Teams know that if they don't win game 3 they are done...I feel Anaheim is the side to be onfor the series but because of the situation and the leadership on Colorado tonight I will jsut put a little action on the Ducks and see what happens...If Anaheim wins tonight we know who is going to win the series..

Either way after this game unless Colorado show me alot I will be on Anaheim every game for the rest of the series...

Worked hard to win the units we have won so far this series and don't want to give any back in this situation tonight...There will be other ame sin the series that present a better situation for us to bet...
