You can only guide the kids as best you can and hope that they make the right decisions.

Thanks for the info . . . . this was one of the areas of the Alabama defense that they could not afford to lose anymore players. It will be interesting to see what Saban will do defensively now . . . . .

To be honest nobody really knows if he would have contributed much with the LBs. He had just switched over from FB/Rb in the past few months. But this can hurt since this is by far the weakest position for Alabama

Too bad, supposedly he was one if not the most talented guys on the team, just never seemed to get his attitude right. I just wonder what the coaching staff know before hand. Im not sure how they could have handled it even if they knew. You can't dismiss someone off of rumors. Im not sure if Saban knew he would say anything anyway, I don't think he ever cared for Johns in the first place

nothing lost other than it was a kid that had all the promise in the world (was mr football in mississippi) and could never fit in at Bama. It's not Shula's fault and it's not Saban's fault it's Johns' fault.

won't hurt Bama in the least...he was the 3rd/4th string tailback and never played a down at LB.

too bad for the kid as he was incredibly talented as a QB/RB in high school
