Police suspect he was drinking.

It seems the cops are getting better, they did not beat him this time. Maybe the judge will lock king up for a month or two since no one was killed.

The Cops don't need to beat him up anymore as this BONEHEAD keeps beating himself up.

Boy that $3.8mil was well spent and it obviously didn't go to his head.

Buddyboy,

It seems that Rodney King is getting better, not the cops. Rodney King didn't resist arrest and complied. And people say you don't learn anything by getting your ass kicked by the police. Seems like Rodney King learned...

He lost my sympathy for driving the SUV. With 3.8 million dollars he could afford a fuel effiecient vehicle.

Gargoyle -

Rodney F-ing KING has a Get-Out-of-Jail-FREE card filed with the LAPD.

Anyone else would of been arrested for what he did on SEVERAL accounts. NOTICE he wasn't arrested?

Intuition,

Rodney King got his phvckin ass beat. Tazed twice, pummelled with batons, kicked, and in my opinion, deserved it after resisting after a high speed pursuit that risked the lives of 'innocent civilians' and police. I for one think that can be construed as 'time served'. I haven't read the article and didn't notice that he wasn't arrested, should have been though. My reply was simply that he learned a lesson about how to deal with police. He's still a piece of sh#t.

Gargoyale - I don't think anyone should get beat.

BUT since King's big publicity stunt and court settlement for $3.4 mil. He has seriously broken the law on about 5 occasions and should of been arrested but never has. A lot of people from L.A. where I am from including Blacks think this is F***ed up and just plain old favoritism which has been PUSHED by the good old free press. For the LAPD to be AFRAID of bad publicity by arresting this career criminal is the WRONG WAY to handle this.

Intuition,

Just read an article about the incident in the local newspaper. First, it wasn't LAPD, but a small agency in Rialto, CA. They did take BAC test and will send it to the City Attorney for filing. The reason he wasn't booked (and smart by the way) is that why should the city (and a small one at that) pay for his medical expenses? Let him pay for his own medical expenses and file on him later. 2nd, the homeowner is the one that's going to benefit since he knows Rodney has some Larry H Parker bux, I'm sure he's going to sue for property and emotional distress.

Just my 2 cents.
